I'm ok with it. Good change of pace back for CJ and a good 3rd down back.

How is Greene a good 3rd down back?

Greene converted all 11 of his 3rd down and 3 or less carries.

And all I've heard from Jets fan is the offensive line wasn't too good..so he had to have something to do with that.

As a Jets fan good riddance! Mike Tannenbaum (who is not with our organization for his inability to evaluate talent) Let Leon Washington and Thomas Jones (A runningback with 1300 + yards) walk in free agency. All because Shonne Green had one good playoff game.

This overweight back will net 3.0 yards each run.

The OL wasn't that bad this year. The year before it was awful.

Jones wasn't let go because of Greene. He was let go because we preferred LT to him.

Some Jets fans don't know what they are talking about. Our OL was good last season, our skill players were terrible.

And I didn't know that was what he meant by 3rd down back, being good for short yardage situations. I was thinking 3rd down back as a blocking/receiving threat.

For a so called power back, Greene doesn't break many tackles. Hes better at knocking himself out than others.

But he should be better served as a backup with the Titans.

All the Titans will want him for is to take the punishment on the short yardage situations. He seems good enough for that.

John Glennon‏@glennonsports
Expanding on an earlier Greene stat: When Jets faced second or third down and less than 3 to go, Green got first downs on 23 of 26 attempts.

Sounds good to me.

Well, that makes it sound a bit better, though their line is better at run blocking and getting a push up the middle.

Overall, I'm not thrilled about this signing. I wonder what the guaranteed numbers are.

Titans making some nice signings.

Not impact players, but role players...and thats where FA is won IMO.

I liked Greene coming out, but he has been a disappointment. Still, a nice change of pace back from CJ. Good situation for him, since he isnt a feature back.

No he doesnt.

He isnt starter quality, but he is a nice change of pace RB and backup.

For being a so called "power back", he only averaged 2.1 YPC after contact. One of the worst YPC in the league.

He's very stiff, not going to make defenders miss, not a threat in the receiving game.

Just not feeling it for the Titans.
