I like this. He knows the system and has some form of talent unlike Clausen. It's better to bring him back. I'd also like to draft a mobile guy for 3rd string and get rid of Clausen.
Anyone know if cutting Clausen would give us cap space?

So stop following the franchise then, if you truly believe signing a backup QB makes this team is a joke.

Seriously, we're not the Jets. backup qb aint that big a deal and DA is solid. i'm fine with him coming back

Meh, he's alright. I really wish we would step up our game up from Clausen though. Maybe they just keep him around as a thank you for bringing us Cam.

Good move keeping Anderson, I agree with the earlier posts, cut Clausen and sign a mobile qb as a third string.
I like EJ Manuel but he'll be gone by the third round.
Matt Scott from Arizona is only other qb in the draft that I can think of that resembles Cams type of play at all. Ran a 4.6 in the combine but stares down his wrs too much, but who doesn't coming out of college.

Continuity is good at backup QB - and Anderson fits the bill - but we should probably acquire a young QB in the draft to groom (and cut ties with Clausen).

This. This. This. I wouldn't mind picking up Tyler Bray in the later rounds. Could be one of those guys we trade in a few years for a mid round pick.
