Tyson Clabo got released. I'm hoping we pick him up for a 2 year deal Pray

OH Yeah!!!!

Breno is costing us 4.5M (750k dead money) this year and Clabo would be cheaper and better. We did bring him in last off season but he decided to resign with ATL before he got here.

How the F*** is Breno making that kind of coin? Absolutely ridiculous for a borderline starter who takes as many penalties as him.

Really like the idea of Clabo, brings that big nasty package Breno does except he can actually pass pro as well. One of the better RT in the league over the last few years. Big time upgrade.

I would take either Winston or Clabo - both would be a MASSIVE upgrade over Breno. Also with Andre Smith, Clabo, Winston all available it will dilute the market value. Not to mention how many role players are still available like McKinnie, Eben Britton, Jamal Brown, Rashad Butler, Winston Justice, Wayne Hunter, Sean Locklear, Jason Smith and Max Starks.

I also was surprised to learn that Antoine Caldwell is still unsigned, I would love him as depth as G/C position. He's not the strongest but I loved him as a prospect coming out.

Edit: Clabo has already heard from the Cowboys and Jaguars - looks like we better act fast.

Just a little article on NFL.com about the back-up possibilities. I didn't even think about Tebow as an option, whom the article says the Seahawks briefly considered and then came to their senses. It mentions Seneca Wallace as a possibility, I was always a big Wallace fan when he was here but that seems like ages ago now. Honestly, and this has been said before, I think the media is just looking at every QB on the market that isn't Brad-Johnson-esque in terms of athleticism and calls them "possible suitors". I don't think the back-up necessarily has to be an athletic QB like Wilson and be able to run the read option. Kirk Cousins seemed to do fine as the back-up for RGIII. I'd rather get a QB that can play than a QB that can just run like some of the names that have been mentioned.

Looks like Antoine Winfield is scheduled to visit early next week. I love this move - he's still got a lot left and would be perfect in the nickel. He's still a great tackler and he could be really disruptive in this defense.

Winfield would be a brilliant signing. I am all for it. He could have a similar impact to Lawyer Milloy.

Here's some actual news (not speculation) on the back-up QB thread.

USA Today reports that the Seahawks will work out 4 QBs on Monday.
Brady Quinn
Matt Leinart
Seneca Wallace
Tyler Thigpen

I'm not sure which of the four I'd prefer - they all have their pros and cons which is why they are available in Free Agency. Maybe Matt Leinart? He's been a headcase but it seems like he's been working really hard to get better and resurrect his career and he's had success with Pete so maybe they can work together again.

Ranking those guys I'm hoping

#1 draft a back up
#2 Matt Lienhart
#3 Thing pen
#4 Brady Quinn
#5 Seneca Wallace. I didn't like him the 1st time he was here.

Those are my thoughts exactly - Wallace was more of a gimmick than a QB when we was here but he's 33 now. I think I'd take him over Quinn...but I really hate Quinn. I also think there could be more guys cut after the draft. Teams like the Eagles are carrying like 5 QBs and maybe somebody more attractive gets cut.

Another one of my favorite receivers left. At least its not to a rival.

Deon Butler signed with the Chargers.
