What's he at? $7 million?

That's not overpaying. Remember kids, Derrick Dockery went for the same amount of money. If Levitre is as good of a guard as everyone says he is, then I'd say the money is actually right. Contracts have been more absurd.

I'm looking at you, Joe Flacco.

Levitre is a decent player but $7.8M a year for a pass protecting G would be excessive for the Colts. For the Titans? Utterly insane.

Overpaid for an average guard. lol

Denver signed Louis Vasquez 4 yrs/$23.5... Levitre worth $2mil/year more?

We're not a contender = we have to pay more. There is not a tonne in it between the two players but I think there was pretty much a consensus that Levitre was the best guard in free agency.

I still think we should look at Warmack if he is there at 10 unless someone drops to us. Wouldn't hurt to have two studs at guard.

We have far bigger needs. DT, DE, and SS.

Well, I know people don't want to be too happy about other team's signings.

But its a good signing. Even if he is just average in run blocking. Its ok. Its not about one player on the line, its about an unit. If he can be a good piece of a great line, then so be it.

he will fit in what we want to do....
Depends on what you ask him to do. In a ZBS, he is going to get to the second level in a hurry and wall off linebackers. He is great in space if you are going to pull him in the run game. If you expect him to maul defensive linemen in a power, man blocking scheme then he will be below average at the point of attack in the run game.

Either way he is an exceptional pass blocker.

Levitre's deal with TEN, 6yrs $46.8M. Whopping $13M in 2013, $19.5M o er 1st 2 yrs of deal ...

Love it. We have plenty of cap room this year, might as well front-load it.

If they will use him like I think it will be for zone blocking and to get to the lb. also for screens
