I think you can add the Bucs to this list with today's action and last season as well.

Vincent Jackson and Carl Nicks are average players?

V-jax and Nicks are top notch, but the team was 6-10. Big signings in March don't equal wins in December...

Yeah we had a Panther fan come into our thread for some friendly trashing of our signing, so I wanted to come to the rival's den to see the going-ons of the Panthers. Laughing

I actually totally agree. Great teams don't build through free agency at all. That being said, we have a ton of cap space, and had basically the worst pass defense of all time last year. It would be stupid not to spend our cap on the best available safety just because we don't want to sign free agents.

Sorry about the trolling from our fan base. We neither support nor agree with any such behavior.

Wasn't trolling at all, just some good rivalry jabs. All in good fun.

You guys shouldn't be allowed to have Goldson or Revis, Barron is enough.

I don't know too much on him, from his stats it looks like he can stay healthy and is fairly decent

He's widely considered a "bust", but if he had been a 4th round pick instead of a 1st it would be a different story. Not a guy you look at and automatically think "starter", but he's young, and if he puts a few things together he could be a good #2 corner.

He's another guy to compete for a spot. If it's a team/cap friendly deal, whatever. Still though, I'd honestly like to see the young guys get a legitimate shot and some playing time to develop more than bringing in a few mid-tier (at best) FAs who, in the grand scheme of things, probably aren't going to improve things drastically.

And the Jets are on the free-agent scoreboard with RB Mike Goodson.

Keeping track of former Panthers

3 years, 6.9 million for Goodson. Seems a tad much. He definitely has the talent to far outperform that contract, but health and boneheadedness (this is now a word) keep getting in the way.

I havent heard of any teams talking to Delmas so far, what do you think it would cost to bring him in. And secondly would you take a chance on him knowing he may be bob sanders 2.0 with the injuries?

Personally i like his play and think that the injury history could help the panthers with signing him and would allow the panthers to fill other holes on the roster.

He'll probably be looking for LaRon Landry money (6 mil/year), lowest I could see would be 5 mil/year. I'd rather give him that than have given Landry 6, but we'd probably be really cutting things tight, and I don't know that I'd be okay with using whatever cap space we can muster on a guy who has only played 19 games the last 2 years.
