Dang solid move by them, hopefully they gave up a kings ransom and Percy holds out for a new contract.

our need for a DB just got a little bit bigger

Wonder if this move changes the way we deal with free agency or trades from here on out. You would think it would.

Welker? Amendola? Revis? WHO KNOWS????

I don't think it will. I think we will still be looking at the bargain bin due to the huge extension contracts we will have to give out in the next couple of years. We will kick the tires on some of them for sure, but I wouldn't expect too much.

According to NFL News the Seahawks give up a 1st, 7th, and 2014 mid-rounder.

I'm also interested in the contract they gave him.

Still, Harvin's a really good player and versatile weapon. He's going to be a pain to defend next year. Seahawks are really trying to put themselves over the top for a SB berth next year.

That's 1 less trade target for us. We were linked to Harvin.

It's a good move for them because Harvin is a nightmare for defenses. The only problem is that there is some serious risk for them. Harvin is not exactly the staple of health.

It can be a great move for them or they can essentially have thrown away a 1st round pick since that appears to be what they are giving up.

He definitely makes that offense even more potent and now with him in the backfield as another option along with Russ it becomes even more dangerous to playe the read option.

Easy there chicken little...there are alot of options out there plus who knows if Revis with his knee will be able to cover the shifty quick lateral routs Percy does.

That'd be an unnecessary overreaction, especially considering revis wouldn't be the one covering him (much more likely that culliver draws that task).

Didn't Harvin kill us when we played them last year? I don't remember that game as its been like 6 months since we played but according to NFL.com he had 10 touches for 98 yards, including rushing yards.

Maiocco says that we are interested in Sean Smith..

What do you all think?

He was the one of the worst rated corners last year..

Yeah, we struggled against him. If I remember right, culliver had the most success against him, but he didn't exactly shut him down. We always struggle against guys like him; Cobb, Harvin, sproles all had good success against us

The report said "at the right price". Smith wants 8 a year- we probably won't go over 5 or 6.

I'll be really surprised if Sean Smith is a 49er.
