Greenie imitation: We don't need another WR. Cool

Meh. We don't. Think of another position. Laughing

oh hell... put him in FB. Laughing

TE should be our 6th pick.

We got Otten with our 7th.

Yes.

I think Boyce is the BPA. We could take Zach Line or Tommy Bohanon.

FB works if you are committing to heavy run first offense. In our case, we don't need FB as we can use Bell as H back.

Boyce is fine to me. What about Special returner/ATH? Onterio McCalebb for Darren Sproles role?

Feel free to provide your thoughts on the job that we did here.

It's a step in the right direction. Too bad these things don't carry over year to year.

Traded above average WR for below average Guard? It is really bad but the trade had solidly meant to get rid of Holmes at any costs as Jets got starting Guard. Jets moved Brisiel back to his natural position at RG. C+

•Re-sign S LaRon Landry to a 4 year, $28M deal ($4M cap hit)
•Sign CB Darrelle Revis to a 6 year, $90M extension (takes effect in 2014)
Jets did good job to lock up two top secondary players for 4 years. Revis' contract won't happen in real life, simply because he would want more than 6m in paycheck right away. Be Patient, Revis. A

•Restructure LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson ($5.128M cap saved)
•Cut OT Jason Smith, LB Calvin Pace, LB Bart Scott, S Eric Smith, QB Tim Tebow, NT Sione Pouha, LB Danny Lansanah, WR Emmanuel Arceneaux, CB Bret Lockett, TE Konrad Reuland, TE Hayden Smith, S Jaiquawn Jarrett

•Sign OLB Paul Kruger to a 5 year, $51M deal ($7.5M cap hit)
•Sign WR Joshua Morgan for $1.1M
•Sign OG Rob Turner for $765K
•Sign QB Kevin Kolb for $1.65M
•Sign OLB Rob Jackson for $4M
•Sign TE Jeff Cumberland for $630K
•Sign OT Austin Howard for $750K

Jets did an outstanding job at free agency. Kruger and Jackson at OLB will require you pinch your skin frequently to ensure you are not dreaming. Morgan with WCO background should bolster WR corp. Kolb reunites with Marty Mornhinweg. Jets exploited FFMD knowledge/preference as they managed to pick up Cumberland and Howard at filthy cheap. A

•Trade picks #9 and #40 to the Dallas Cowboys for picks #18 and #24 and a 2014 2nd round pick

I am fine with trading down from 9th overall selection but missing out on Cordelle Patterson and Kenny Vacarro hurt. C
•Sign DE Kedric Golston for $840K
•Sign K David Akers for $940K

Draft Picks
1(18). Jonathan Cooper // OG // North Carolina

He would be an excellent pick if Jets were committing to gaping system. Since Jets are committing to ZBS with veteran Ferguson, Mangold and Brisiel, the Cooper pick is a waste of pick. ZBS means OL must practice together everything. No one man show permits in ZBS. There are a dozen of solid guards can fill out LG admirably. Choosing Cooper over Jonathan Cyprien is catastrophically unthinkable. D

1(24). Keenan Allen // WR // California

Allen is easily a powerful slot receiver in the draft class. His work ethic is a key to improve his length in a game so he is up in the air. He needs to run better routes to be solid all round WR. B

3(74). Mike Glennon // QB // NC State

I presume Jets will mix the variants of Walsh and Spread offenses next year. Selecting him as qb of the future is hard to overlook. I hope he is sturdy enough to be durable physically. His upside is high enough to improve his value for trade next year if so. B

4(105). Le'Veon Bell // RB // Michigan State

This pick is easily horrible. He does not run well to be consistent RB for Mornhinweg. If you abandon the run game in favor of heavy pass offense then you will need to have RB with quickness/burst. Mornhinweg does not run the same way as Greg Roman has run. Bell fits in Roman system better than Mornhinweg. However, I still like him as FB. His speed for FB will bolster the offensive up-tempo. Bell is excellent at blocking and picking up blitz to go with solid hands. He can be dangerous FB we have sought for. Maybe he can fit in like Delaine Walker as H-back. C-

5(136). Duke Williams // S // Nevada

WHY WHY WHY???? Jets passed on Vaccaro and Cyprien for this Duke. WHY? I don't envision him as a starting caliber at S. Nickel/Dime role at best for him. He is not good enough to push Landry to SS. I don't see him as a better alternative to Josh Bush at FS. SS? Maybe. F

6(170). Zach Line // FB // SMU

I like him but we already have Bell. The way Jets put up in the backfield (Bell at RB and Line at FB) makes me think Jets are dyslexic. Maybe they lie to us like Rex Ryan did before. F

7(201). Ryan Otten // TE // San Jose State

He should be taken higher but due to his illness and light weight, he is the least attractive TE in the FFMD community. He should bulk up without losing some athleticism. He also needs to block better. B

Outstanding offseason for us. We pulled off way more than I ever expected. I hate Zach Line though Laughing screw the FB position. Like Jetsman said, shame these don't carry over haha.

Great job guys. Much better than what's going on in the actual offseason.

that is because of a lot of loopholes in salary in FFMD.
