I think that he replaces Rocky, not Canty. We still may not be done in FA. Let's see what Tuesday at 4pm brings. It leaves an oft injured Austin, Rogers and torn-acl Kuhn. Linval is our only truly healthy body. A draft pick -- I dont think is the answer at DT. I hope we make a splash.

Don't forget how much we kick our DEs inside GEE. I think another draft pick may be all we need to solidify that DT group.

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs.

Agree. Cullen and hopefully Austin show up as inside passrushers (UT position) and Linval and Rogers as NTs. Thats probably all we are doing at the defensive tackle position imo.

This almost guarantees a LB in the first round, or tyler eifert.

Super bold pick: Marcus Smith OLB to Eagles in the first. I wouldn't bet on it, but if it happens, you heard it here first Wink

Not at all, we will go BPA. It would not shock me at all if we draft a DT in the 1st

I think O-line or DE is where we end up in the first. Not due to any names but due to the sheer amount of talent at those positions and how we draft.

Same. If the value is there (Star Lotulelei if his medicals check out, Sheldon Richardson or Sharrif Floyd) I think we go in that direction.

Could easily see us going in a lot of directions.

On Eifert, can't see us picking him. We usually like good blocking tight ends, and Eifert (although a beast receiver) is not much of a blocker. Would love to see him being picked as a receiver who we teach to block though. He's still a stud.

Good point. I am just concerned that Linval is our only truly healthy body and it is alot to ask of a Shaun Rodgers. Cullen is a good pickup but isn't the big body run stopper we need.

I think this is exactly why we won't go OL or DE in the first... There is a lot of depth at these positions. I would like a LB but don't want to reach on Brown in the first. Richardson would be nice. But then again, it depends on who falls. Prince was a top 10 and he fell to us. Maybe Rhodes will fall to us (that would make my draft)

That's true. Man, how awesome would Michael Brockers be on this team? Drool

Nope. I think we're way more likely to go OT, DE, and CB. Highest that Reese ever drafted a LB was when we draft Clint Sintim. Other than him, we usually take LBs in the middle to backend of the draft.

Which is why our only LB on our roster with starting experience has no business starting on this team (Chase Blackburn). This might be the year we take a LB but I only see it happening if Ogletree is there. Just don't see Te'o or Minter getting drafted that high and Ogletree can play multiple LB positions.
