Did Dexter Fowler, Troy Tulo, and Carlos Gonzalez all really get hurt last night? Thats insane. Anyone have a status update on Tulo and Fowler? I've read CarGo is fine (glad he's the one on my fantasy team), looking for more info on the other two though. |

It can't have been last season during camp because Holliday wasn't here. _________________

That's correct. Just looked it up. We claimed him on Oct 11th. _________________ The situation is hopeless, but not serious. |

Fowler and CarGo won't be missing much, if any, time.
Tulo on the other hand looks like he will miss 4-6 weeks with a broken rib. He's putting up MVP numbers and he gets hurt. It's nothing short of a devastating blow to a team that looks like a legit playoff contender. _________________ big_palooka:

Tulo has to be one of the underrated players in the MLB. I feel like no one talks about him anymore. Sad to see him get hurt, hopefully he can continue his tear when he's healthy.. _________________

Hopefully while he's out the Rox can step up _________________

I dunno about all that. He's pretty much regarded as the best SS in the NL, and among the Top 3 in all of baseball... _________________

If anything he's overrated, but my reasoning for that is his inability to stay healthy.
CarGo is putting up some MVP numbers. |

Really, for some reason I rarely hear anything about him and Cargo. But I'll take your word for it. _________________

I think cuz CarGO has been so inconsistent in the past people are hesitant to start touting him. But he has been flat out ridiculous this year; power, speed, great defense, and he hits like a triple a game |

Month to month maybe hes inconsistent, but year to year hes been one of the most consistent top tier players. His first breakout year set his ceiling, he's been consistent.
2010 - 145gp, 111runs, 34hr, 117rbi, 26sb, 336avg
2011 - 127gp, 92runs, 26hr, 92rbi, 20sb, 295avg
2012 - 135g0, 89runs, 22hr, 85rbi, 20sb, 305avg
This year he's re-establishing that ceiling, but you can pretty much count on him being one of the best 5 tool players in the league each year. 20sb lock, close to or above 300 average lock, with close to 100rbi and runs each year. I'd call that consistent. Last year was his worst year and the lack of counting stats piling up could be because of the Rockies being absolutely crushed by injuries most of last year with no Tulo or Cuddyer a lot of the year.
I read somewhere that CarGo is like a 335 hitter with Tulo also in the lineup over his career. |

CarGo has been great the last couple games since Tulo got hurt, let's see if it continues. Throughout his career, CarGo hasn't been the same hitter when he doesn't have Tulo batting behind him in the order; it's as though he needs that protection in the lineup. He's still an elite outfielder and a great base runner, but as a batter he's not the same without Tulo.
So Friday night I leave my bar and about 10 minutes later Rod Smith shows up. I went over to a girls house and all of sudden my phone starts blowing up with texts and pictures and calls from everyone trying to get me to come back. It would have been cool to meet him but I wasn't about to leave this girl's place. Apparently Rod was nice enough to pose for about 50 pictures with everyone and chat for a while before he went inside for a brew and some food.
Lastly, my buddy had a good quote the other day. He said "Kroenke is trying to McDaniels the Nuggets." Sounds about right to me. _________________ big_palooka:
