According to stchamp's twitter, our interest in Sean Smith is "very real", "$ will decide the whole deal," "we'd be first in line is what I'm told."

Also reports (not on any of the major newsfeeds yet) that we are interested in bringing in Josh Cribbs.

DJ_Fka, Perhaps you could continue updating the opening post to list all of the rumored targets.

Josua Cribbs etc

To sign Sean Smith we'd need to cut Kolb, Beanie, King and maybe Feeley.

Bush and Smith woul be huge for the team. They then wont have to address those positions in the draft giving them more flexibility

According to a good source, the Cardinals will aggressively pursue a safety in free agency.

Told same. Aiming high, too. RT @MoveTheSticks: According to a good source, the Cardinals will aggressively pursue a safety in free agency.

Hopefully Goldston but I think another team will hook him up. Champ says Smith or Goldston...

I really hope it's Gholston. If it is we get the second coming of A Dub

Goldson is more of a FS like Kerry Rhodes. Although they could always slide Rhodes over to SS. Rashad should be brought back. I am intrigued by the Sean Smith opposite PP.

I fully expect us to overpay for the most average safety in FA.

I've always liked him closer to the LOS. I think him and Kerry would be a tremendous S combo. We'd have to backload the hell out of his contract.

I get the feeling we have more money to work with then I first thought. Not a lot but I'd hardly call us the most cap tied team in the NFL. We've been linked to Smith, Bush, and Goldson. I don't think we'd go after them if we didn't have the money.

I think I'd prefer Smith over Goldson. Goldson is the better player but Smith is 3 years younger. I'm warming to the idea of bringing Rashad back and giving him more snaps.

I agree I think we are a few moves away from being well off with our cap
