Thought I would make this a topic, seeing as the weekend has started and tampering is rife.

Also, real FA starts on Tuesday, dont expect us to make a splash, we never do, but maybe some key resigns or even key losses.

Players we are targeting:

Sean Smith
Reggie Bush
Josua Cribbs
MIke Jenkins
Ramon Foster (steelers guard)

Im not basing this off of anything and I really dont know how well he is. But what about Gamble that just was cut as a number 2?

He would be a solid #2 but he has had some problems with injuries. He may cost too much and Toler may be better served to be #2 for a cheaper rate.

Jenkins from Dallas

I liked him alot

And he would come cheap

And with a chip on his shoulder

Still young at 28 too.

I was interested in Dunta Robinson but KC just agreed to terms with him tonight. I like Jenkins but he's one of the most penalized corners in the game. Might as well stick with Toler for 3 years maybe 14-15m...

Wow, maybe we can trade them Hoyer straight up. Very Happy

Still might get released by them, he is their #4 back.

Might be looking at upgrading the guard spot in FA(no Warmack Sad ). Also says we aren't the only one.

Jason Cole ‏@JasonColeYahoo Leading candidates for CB Sean Smith, as if this moment, appear to be Tampa Bay, Arizona and Pats.

Played for Bowles...

interesting. He's a big physical corner and a solid overall player. Richard Sherman-like, but without the ball skills or the attitude

Hmm, that would be a pretty descent pickup

That would be a pretty high end signing too which is surprising. I like it though. We'd have a beast of a CB pairing with PP and Smith. That's a lot of height too. Fleming or Toler would play nickle then which is where they fit best. Smith has also stayed relatively healthy throughout his career and is just entering his prime. I like this. I like this a lot.

I'm not sure what he'd get though. 7-8 million/year maybe???

Not sure why we would even bother to go after a big time FA corner when we had the #1 passing defense in the league last year. Make Toler the priority. Fleming can fill the role Gay held.

Not liking that our biggest asset (pass defense) is being completely stripped bare right now.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/03/09/reggie-bush-free-agency-miami-dolphins-arizona-cardinals/1975763/

Quote:
The Arizona Cardinals are looking for more firepower on offense, and that could lead them to Reggie Bush.

The team has contacted Bush's agent to show interest in the free-agent-to-be running back, according to a person with knowledge of the communication between the sides.

Not sure how I feel about this one.
