The Chargers are now $12.1 million under the cap.

Bigby started 11 games for the Chargers last season and was poor against both the pass and run, he never returned to his 2007 form where he had 86 tackles, 5 INTs and 3 FFs for the Packers.

He might be able to find a job as a veteran back-up.

This one's a little bit more surprising, but its a decent move. Bigby really hurt what little we had in pass defense last year, and even though made a lot of good plays in run support, he had a complete disregard for anything that resembled a pass. Good to move on. Hopefully the next one will be Garay, as he saves us a strait 5 mil in cap space.

"One potential replacement could be former Arizona safety Adrian Wilson. He was cut Friday. Former Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt is now on San Diego’s staff. "

Oh please please please... Wilson isnt quite the player he once was but I have a soft spot for my Wolfpack guys!

And we don't really need a longterm answer at SS, just a stopgap until Taylor is healthy/ready

Agreed, Wilson is the kinda player who can come in and be vital to the development of Taylor/Stuckey. He can start right away and wouldn't have to be an every down guy. So the youngsters could still get quite a few reps. Money would be the key here. How much would he cost us for a year or two.
