Why didn't we go for somebody like Danario Alexander instead of Gibson. Alexander only has an original tender on him and since he went undrafted you would have to give up nothing if the Chargers tried to match the contract. I know he has had multiple knee surgeries but he's 6'5 with decent speed and good hands. Being that he is only going to make $1.32 million I would've offered 2 years, $5million. I think somebody of his size would've been the perfect redzone target for us. Could anybody tell me why nobody has offered him a contract?

Gibson was definitely the safer, more consistent choice. Having five knee surgeries since college certainly does not help get teams interested in you. More so if you play WR. Danario has a lot of potential but is a huge injury risk. Major boom or major bust potential. I still think someone will pick him up. But not us at this point.

It depends what you are looking for. As a Rams fan I've seen both play a lot and Alexander's potential is insane. If you want a guy who will play 8-10 games and contribute like a 1/2 than take Alexander. If you want a depth guy who will play all year but never be much more than a 3/4 you take Gibby.

Agreed, and that's what we expect him in to be. He will be the first candidate to step into the two spot if Hartline gets injured or takes a step back in his play.

Dolphins are bringing in Winston for a visit today and seem interested in Grimes.....

If they land both where do they go at #12?

I don't think Matthieu is on their radar...and I don't like him anyway.

If your biggest gripe about that draft class is the last guy in the 3rd round...I'll take that as a compliment anyway Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Personally I would rather see them package some pick together and move back into the 1st for Trufant....and give me Barrett Jones in the 3rd.

Trufant excels in playing lock man. I feel like he doesn't really fit the direction we'd like to take the secondary.

This is a new article on NFL.com about Winston's visit along with them reiterating our interest in Osi Umenyiora. If we could get 2-3 good years out of them without breaking the bank, then I say bring both of them in.

Just a very good corner, who I think ends up being better then Rhodes.....

I get the feeling Banks may be there in the second....could go that way to...

Regardless of the player we both agree that CB should be addressed early in the draft....

Absolutely. Whether it is Banks, Poyer, Trufant...lots of talent and we need to capitalize and likely double dip in the first 4 rounds.

Absolutely LOVE Poyer for our defense. Perfect zone scheme CB. Austin would be alright, as he's just so dang dynamic, even though we already have plenty of receivers. But I would not be happy with either Simon or Schwenke.

Moore would be a nice addition to the team in my opinion. He's played in both a ZBS and a Man/Gap scheme. He is not entirely consistent with his play, but he would represent upgrade to John Jerry.

@RavensInsider 1m
Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland is a closer these days. Brandon Moore is latest target. Strong chance they land him, per sources

I would like to throw CB Dj Hayden name in the hat. Great foot quickness and burst to undercut routes.
