Derek Cox CB
Since 2009 he has allowed 11 td's against him and has 12 picks over that same time. hes 6'1 has great speed and should come cheap, tbh i think cheaper than captain. |
I like Cox, but the guy just can't seem to stay on the field. If we let both Gamble and Captain walk in favor of Cox I would be deeply troubled. _________________

I guess im not to worried about being without both gamble and captain. Gamble costs way to much at this point in his career. If we cut and resigned him for around 3-4 million a year and signed cox to a incentive rich deal low guaranteed money deal it would help the dbs. If cox stays healthy for a full season hes easily a #1 cb in this league. I guess it comes down to the money like always. Cox is a local kid as well home discount? _________________

Another guy we could look at is Brandon Gibson, he's been inconsistent, but I think he would be a good cheap addition _________________

I know we aren't going to have a lot to spend. Here is a few that can contribute, if not start, for cheap. May not even be mid range FAs but thats what happens when you are in a CAP mess.
WR Mohamed Massaquoi
Big target. Nice blocker and good hands. Hometown discount??
CB Chris Houston
Not sure if he will be in our price range. Has played well for Houston as a starter.
DT Isaac Sopoaga
Played NT in San Frans 3-4. May not be the best fit for him. He is strong, intelligent and experienced.
TE John Phillips
Another in a long line of Virginia TEs. Never really got a shot in Dallas behind Witten. Tore ACL in 2010. Can be a #2 behind Olsen.
RT Winston Justice
Didn't exactly live up to expectations in Philly. Took on a leadership role in Indy and started at RT. Inconsistent play however. Natural fit at RT. _________________

Adrian Wilson
Laron Landry
Dawan Landry
Jordan Shipley
How about them? Wouldn't command too much money. _________________

I love Shipley being our #2 TE, he did have attitude problems in GB but he could definitely turn it around _________________

What are you talking about here? Shipley is 6' maybe 170lbs wet, that is no more than a slot WR. Armanti Edwards 2 _________________

I think you're thinking of JerMichael Finley. _________________

Thats who I was thinking of, apologize about that fellas wasn't paying attention, but I would love us to look at Finley since it looks like the Packers are done with him. _________________

I think Brandon Gibson, Pat Sims, Dawan Landry and Kenny Phillips would be nice additions. If there was a way we could get Goldson though _________________

| Quote: | The Charlotte Observer expects the Panthers to show interest in free agent CB D.J. Moore.
Moore was demoted to the Bears' fourth corner in 2012 and was told earlier this week that he won't be re-signed. The Panthers have one of the worst cap situations in the league, so they'll be targeting second-tier free agents like Moore this offseason. |
Eh. Chicago has a pretty deep and talented secondary, but...eh. _________________

Agreed their secondary is pretty solid but I'm not too sold on him coming in and becoming a starter here _________________

| Ramses Barden, he murdered us week 3 and has ties to Papa Getts. Monstrous size at 6'6 225 and has produced when given a chance. Backing up Nicks in NY has made him hungry and healthy. Could come in at the relatively cheap price. |

A guy that stands out to me is Julian Edelman. He was a jack of all trades player in New England, but always came to play. Good hands, tough guy. He would be a valuable WR3 for us. _________________
