I can always trade or sign a Tackle there easier to find then good corners! _________________ You have to stand bye your convictions, sometimes you might stand alone but when your proven right its a great feeling!

I like the draft with the exception of Trufant being taken at 8. That's way to early for him imo. _________________

I think Trufant is going to be a stud I actually have him 1 a and 1 b to Millner both guys are pretty close on my board ahead of Banks.
I really love the kid he is going to be special and the Lions are a long way from being a champ to many holes so add talent and Alex Okafor is a stud and actually Lattimore fits our offense to the tee just have to allow him to recover not a big deal we have been living without back for years!
I love the talent I selected in this draft hands down its talent period! _________________ You have to stand bye your convictions, sometimes you might stand alone but when your proven right its a great feeling!

Not even close to true. Next to QB, OT is the hardest position to find in FA. They are important enough that usually when a team gets one, they don't let them go.
On the other hand, Trufant, Samuel, Asomuwhatever, the guy in ATL getting released...CBs are in FA all the time. They just dont have the impact anymore with how the rules favor offensive players these days.
OT is...by far...more important and harder to find. _________________

I like Trufant, not at 8 though.
Okafor is okay, not sure how well he'll fit in the wide-9 though.
Like Frederick.
Hate McDonald and Gholston picks.
Lattimore's injury/injuries scare me. I hope he recovers and has a great career, but I would prefer some other team takes the chance.
Marlon Brown was a bust at UGA, though for a 7th round pick might as well take a chance on him and see if he can put everything together, doubt he does though.
Would probably give it a D grade. _________________

Not a big fan of McDonald that early, Gholston, or Lattimore period(Doctors say he might not even be able to fully practice untill the 2014 training camps).
Trufant/Oakfor/Fredrick could find roles on this team and not a bad draft imo. |

I personally love this Mock draft. First three picks are all on the defensive side of the ball..cant complain one bit.
our Offense will move the ball, we even did it last year. Our Defense could stop teams. We need a boost on the defensive side everywhere and this draft is tailored to this problem.
2 guys that can cover guys and one guy who gets to the QB.
this would be an ideal situation if we were to trade down. |

As much as I like Trufant, I don't like him at 8. However, if you really like a guy and you can't trade down you have to take him. So I can't fault you for that. I like Okafor there however I'd rather grab someone like Swearinger in the 2nd or Rambo in the 3rd. I like the position but not the pick. Frederick is good as he can fit in at G/C. I like Lattimore but we need that explosive element at RB and I'd rather see someone like Barner, Ellington, Gillislee instead. The FO is on a short leash and I don't think they are able to gamble on a RB who will likely be ready for the next regime. Can't complain about getting Gholston in the 6th as some have mocked him in the 4th so there's value. I'm intrigued by the WR from Northern Iowa and his 4.19. He has some size and obviously speed, so I'd take a chance on him in the 7th if he was there. Likely would need some polish but low risk with high reward.
I'll give the draft a C+. |

I don't really care how they do it but yes drafting 3 defensive players first 3 rounds of this draft is a must for me don't really care whom but its time to focus on the Defense which does win championships and we have neglected ours for years outside of the DT position.
Its time to focus on Defense I sick of wasting top picks on offense that don't pan out time after time.
Haters are going to hate most 0f the neg come from people that just don't like my ideas no matter what they're just because its there norm.
They know whom they're same crap in Baseball site its just whom came up with the draft they don't like lmao!
Its all good I ignore them most of the time its just habit! _________________ You have to stand bye your convictions, sometimes you might stand alone but when your proven right its a great feeling!

Defense did win championships.....30 years ago. These days it is the exception rather than the norm. Welcome to the 21st century.
Now the refs will absolutely stifle your defensive players regardless of how good they are and your only real hope is to have an offense that can keep up with the other team. _________________
