Trufant is a solid player, but I see corners in round 2 that are comparable to him. Like Jamar Taylor and Robert Alford. Fluid, competitive, and fast.

There are no elite corners in this draft. That's why I'm not high on taking any at 13. I'm all for a trade down if we're going corner. Alford worries me a little but I'm really high on Taylor- not as technically sound though because he whiffs while going for the big press sometimes

Trufant probably reminds you of him because of the dreads and the other aspect but football related, their different players. Desmond, actually has hands meanwhile we've seen Biggers never really catch INT's in his stint here. Ball-skills to boot. Their like opposites actually.

Umm no, not at all. Why would you even go there?

I like Trufant, if he goes later in the first/early second, but I actually see where you can make that translation.

Because Biggers is nothing like Trufant. I don't see the comparison playing wise, seriously(other then that)

Skilled, athletic, but can't ever finish the play (intercept the pass).

Agreed.

I don't know how anyone can have Trufant ahead of Milliner or Rhodes. He's not even a better prospect than Banks or Poyer. Seriously.

Did anyone watch the Stanford game this year? Zach Ertz consistently abused him. What about the Arizona game? Dan Buckner had his way with him vertically...and he is barely draftable. He's not a shut down CB. A feisty, athletic CB with upside? Sure, but his instincts down the field are hit or miss and his ball awareness is below average.

The Senior Bowl is clouding people's judgement on this one. In games he wasn't nearly as impressive as he was during one week of practice.

The thing that pisses me off... just trade for this guy already. Honestly, I put most of, if not all, the blame on this pansy Idzik. The dude is crapping his pants trading the best CB in football and potentially one of the best all time and just needs to stop pu*** footing around and do it. Everyone knows its gonna happen. We are giving fair compensation in regards to market value and Idzik just wants Ricky Williams trade value here. It won't happen and he just needs to accept that and make the deal. No one else has the cap or willingness to trade for the guy.

Fair trade IMO.

LOVE BANKS- if he came to us in the 2nd I'd be dancing. He's the brandon flowers of this years draft. A little overlooked because of a 40 time- but you put on the tape and he's hitting, intercepting and covering like the best DB in the country- also returns kicks too

Same here. I still really like Banks. I was disappointed with his 40 time like everyone else was, but on tape he's a top 25 talent.

Banks arms are so long as well. At least he isn't small running that slow. He is 6'2 with 33 inch arms. I want him the most out of the CBs.

Side note on #Bucs and CBs: Whether true or not, multiple agents saying team is waiting on Revis deal before proceeding w other CBs.

Like BBando said earlier, it really seems like a matter of when, not if.

Seems kinda stupid. Hinging your entire defensive backfield overhaul on one player. Granted, he's the best player we could possibly get, but it seems like other GM's could have done this will still taking care of other players as well.

If the deal doesn't happen, Dominick might have to look at drafting corners in rounds 1 and 2, which isn't the worst thing in the world. And hopefully bring back Barber.
