Tampa Bay could use the best CB in football. You have the cap space. Let's deal.

Here is the offer:

Jets trade Darrell Revis to Tampa Bay Buccaneers for pick #13 and #43

Have no issue with the #13 pick, however I think if a deal is done. It includes our first and possibly a player and a conditional pick from next year which could be a 2nd.

I wouldn't hate your trade but I don't see a trade like that happening right now. Bucs value draft picks and have more holes than just CB to pull the trigger.

I'd be pretty pissed with that trade. This is a great CB class in the draft, I'd rather use those picks for 2 CBs than just Revis who would for one get a huge contract and there's a lot of uncertainty how he recovers from that injury

Ya. No.....how often do teams really get the maximum value for players like this?

I would give 13, and a conditional 2014 Mid-Rounder, if he signed a new contract BEFORE

I was all for dealing for Revis at when things fired up a few weeks back. I don't have a problem moving picks, it is the money that is the deal breaker for me.

If he balled out this past season it may make it a bit easier to appreciate what we would be getting but coming off of an injury also doesn't sit well with me.

$16,000,000 per is a crazy amount of money. For one of the best defensive players in the league.... maybe but the cat is coming of a blown season.

He would obviously do wonders for our defense. Having to face the Falcons and Saints four times a year Revis would be a monster chess piece.

Thing that might make a Revis trade a little easier for our team to do is we don't have to worry about spending $15-20,000,000 per on a qb so there is more money to go around for everyone.

I can't see anyone trading a 1st AND a 2nd AND a $80,000,000 contract though.

Soooooooooo torn on this! Shocked

...Or we could take 2 corners with those picks and not worry about an absurd contract and whether they'll be the same player after an injury.

No way.

Yeah...if you havent noticed this years CB class is deep in the first round, and Revis injury is not helping him either.

And call me crazy but I think Xavier Rhodes is the next best thing in football...just a gut instinct I have. Only way we land Revis is if Jets drop the price.

I personally would give them a 2nd and a 5th this year and a 3rd next year. And that is a VERY generous offer consider the fact that Jets have little negotiation Room with Revis' injury

That would be a dream come true IF we still draft Xavier...imagine Xavier and Revis Pray Pray Pray Pray Pray

Get on the yearly Buc carousel. Start off trash. Look better by mid season. Win 2-3 games at the end of the season. Get the 7th pick. Have what most fans consider a great draft and free agency. Start off trash again. Rinse and repeat

There is a precedent for a similar trade,. The first big move of Mark Dominik's regime was trading for Kellen Winslow, giving up a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick for a premium player with injury and character concerns. Revis would cost more, but he'd also be a better player than Winslow.

I asked 2 NFL GMs via text what is the best and most realistic fit for Revis. Both had interesting same answer. Tampa.

Contingent on having a long-term extension in place, our first rounder this year + a conditional pick next year sounds fine to me.

I would do a 2nd this year and and a 3rd that could become a 2nd next year or somthing like that.

I just don't want to give up our 1st

yup I'm there. Get it done Dom. Revis is a dream come true, I think we got leverage. We are one of the only teams with cap room to make the move. Front load that contract high, and lets get r done
