the Draft thread shows that Dallas has our 5th.

we just have a 6th and two 7th's, right?

Meant to put this here Laughing

Since our GM, Asst. GM, and Money man are all MIA right now, I guess I will post the trade between Dallas and Minnesota.

Dallas gets:

#85
#150

Point value - 196.4

Minny gets:

#79

Point value - 195

This trade has been approved by a vote of 5-1 by the Dallas Cowboys. When Jwin or Flyingmonkey get on, they can officially confirm this.

the Vikings accept.

We do indeed accept.

*The format now changes moving forward. Our remaining draft picks are used as bidding chips.

We need to come up with guys that we can get with our 5th and two 7ths.

I think our initial 5th should be used for McFadden/Wilcox (pending availability).

Looking forward to debating. Very Happy

Here are a couple of guys I would consider at each pick:

6th Round:
Duke Williams/S/Nevada
Nickell Robey/CB/USC
Leon McFadden/CB/San Diego State
Gerald Hodges/LB/Penn State
William Gholston/DE/Michigan State
Reid Fragel/OT/Ohio State
Micheal Williams/TE/Alabama
Steve Beauharnais/LB/Rutgers
Luke Marquardt/OT/Azuza Republic

7th Round:
Dennis Johnson/HB/Arkansas
Walter Stewart/DE/Cincinnati
Roger Gaines/OT/Tennessee State
John Boyett/S/Oregon
Khalid Wooten/CB/Nevada
Emmett Cleary/OT/Boston College
Jahleel Addae/S/Central Michigan
Aaron Hester/CB-S/UCLA
Spencer Ware/HB/LSU
D.C. Jefferson/TE/Rutgers

E.J. Manuel just vaulted into the #2 spot at QB on Mayock's Top 5 list.

if you respect Mayock's QB evaluation abilities, he had this to say about Nassib:

Mayock: “Ryan Nassib is the guy that people are going to like a lot. He kind of reminds me a little bit of the ascension of Kurt Cousins last year, and the ascension of Andy Dalton the year before that. They were smart, tough and the more the coaches get involved, they see the kid's work ethic and how much he understands of the game, they're going to start to trust him. And with coaches, trust is a big thing and teams are going to trust Ryan Nassib.

“He'll get on the board, and talk games, and talk fast protections, and coaches are going to really like Ryan Nassib. He's got good, physical attributes, not great but good, physical attributes and all the intangibles, toughness, intelligence, and work ethic. He's going to start to quietly climb boards between the Combine and the draft. Outside of him, it's going to be hard to figure [who will].

Mayock didn’t say how high he thinks Nassib could rise, but knowing he has him as his fourth quarterback in his top five it would seem possible that Nassib could move to the top of round two or perhaps even the bottom of round one.

I think my initial bidding would go.

6th - TE - Michael Williams
7th - CB - Khalid Wooten (also a returner)
7th - unsure... try and trade for a 2014 6th.

I think we should look to add a RB with the last pick. Maybe Kerwynn Williams.

I would want someone who could be a returner (punt/kickoff) if they are in the coversation for BPA
At worse he would backup Sherels, at best he can replace Sherels.

Typically, its RB/CBs who could fit this.
