I loved that guy.

What are your thoughts on Kane? His (and Toews) contract expires after next year I believe, and I have a feeling that he will leave and possibly go home to Buffalo. Especially if the Hawks win the cup again within the next two years he'll have nothing else to prove here and may want to try and win one with his hometown team.

Do you think he stays or does he go?

Haha I love the "Let's go Hawks" chants get drowned out by the Detroit fans booing.

I don't think there's any way we let either he or Toews leave.

Toews for sure, he's a Blackhawk for life. But I could see Kane leaving us, hopefully not, though.

Does the NHL allow teams to extend contracts whenever, or do they have to be in the final year of their deal?

Unless it changed with their new CBA they can only be signed after the league year for their final contract season has begun.

I loved the goal Saad scored on Gustafsson just 8 seconds after he replaced Howard just as much.

Quote:
The San Jose Sharks traded center Michal Handzus to Chicago in return for a fourth-round draft pick, according to a source.

The deal is not official yet, as it's still pending a trade call with the league.

Handzus, who has previously played for St. Louis, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles, has two points in 28 games so far this season.

Not surprising. Like we were talking about a few days ago, the Hawks have been hurting at center for a while.
