Reports are Chiefs and Bowe are close. I'm gonna assume his deal is 5yrs 55ish mill and gets done before Monday's deadline:
Franchise: Branden Albert
Re-sign: Dustin Collquit
Ropati Pitoatua
Free Agents:
Brad Jones ILB - he's the #1 ILB in F/A so probably a pipe dream, but I wants him. (Larry Grant if we can't get Jones)
Derek Cox CB - talented but often-injured. Contract shouldn't cost too much (Cary Williams, Keenan Lewis, Sean Smith, Brent Grimes are other options)
Cullen Jenkins DE
I suppose my ultimate dream would be to trade #1 for #16 and #22 and take Arthur Brown and Sheldon Richardson, but that's a little too crazy even for me.
Draft:
1.1 Star Lotulelei. I'm going to assume since this is my dream mock that Star's heart checks out fine.
2.1 Alex Smith
3.1 Studman Bailey - we've been over this quite a bit
3.2 Terron Armstead Ark Pine Bluff - athletic guy to be guard depth and competition
4.1 Vance McDonald TE Rice He's big and he's athletic.
5.1 Kiko Alonzo ILB Oregon
6.1 Christine Michael RB ATM
7.1 Braden Wilson FB K-State
QB. Alex Smith
RB Charles/Michael/Gray
FB Wilson/Dimarco
WR Bowe, Bailey, Baldwin, DMX, Wylie
TE T-Mo, Maneri, McDonald
LT Albert, Steph
LG Allen, Armstead
C Hudson
RG Asamoah
RT Winston
LE Star, Bailey
NT Poe, Powe, Toribio
RE Cullen Jenkins, Ropati
OLB Houston, Hali
ILB DJ, Jones, Alonzo
CB Flowers, Cox, Brown, Arenas
S Berry, Lewis, Abduallah, Hartman
you like? Rest of roster will be filled in with guys I don't care to predict or put. _________________

I really have dug into Derek Cox and he definitely has some injury concerns. Personally I would prefer someone like Bradley Fletcher or even Chris Gamble (who is likely to be released by the Panthers).
I see Kiko Alonso as a likely high 3rd round prospect...maybe sliding into round 4, but not much lower.
I think Armstead is going to end up grading out as a second round pick. _________________

I hope you guys can manage a trade back, but if not and Star checks out medically? He or Floyd would be very good picks. (no one seems to really be worth the #1 overall though). Good looking overall scenario, judging by what I am learning of your needs.

I am not excited about the idea of Floyd going #1 overall - I don't think he is a top 5-tech candidate.
Edit : I think you are just hanging around here because of the glow of getting a king's ransom for Smith! LOL

I saw a twitter report that speculated that Star's heart won't be an issue. If that's true I want him to be the pick if we stay. I think we could be without TJax next year and that would put DE way up there.
I'd rather not address WR in the draft if we keep Bowe or at least not until later. I just feel as though we have more pressing issues elsewhere combined with really liking what I saw from Wylie towards the end of the year.
Like Armstead. Love McDonald. Not big on Alsonso rather have Bostic.
Man I don't want Jenkins and I may be alone on that.
P.S: Your ultimate dream is very sexy |

I like it man!
Bailey and brown are my two big guys I want!
I feel Armstead is a much better OT prospect. That athleticism is pretty unreal! Reminds me of Veldheer a little bit. |

Not sure why you feel the need to talk about ME rather than the thread topic... but okay.
.. and no, I'm here because I have always liked certain aspects of your team... and now one of my favorite ex-49ers is your QB. So, sorry... the Chiefs have added a fan in me. (though Niners still come first) _________________

Well now the compensation seems alright!
To 9ers:
#34
Conditional 3rd
To Chiefs:
Alex Smith

Good to have you man! My brother has been an eagles fan most of his life but recently went to SF game. He immediately switched teams. This was a big deal as we live in Canada and NFL games aren't quite so accesible |

Hasn't he played mostly safety for the Panthers? He's a little long in the tooth, but could still have a couple years left. _________________
