i listen to a good deal of 97.1 so i feel like thats the average fan, there were a good amount of people calling for barret jones/ manti teo at 5 about a month and a half ago. so that would be aweful. But i mean its not like we could win less playoff games than the lions have if we picked the players

Um yeah it'd pretty much be a disaster more often than not. Certainly wouldn't have Stafford, that's for sure. We'd of taken Aaron Curry if it was up to the fans.

The only thing worse than the organization making picks is the entire fan base.

In regards to actually doing it... there are so many issues to consider that would make it impossible. How would you propose the Lions would even go about doing it if they wanted to?

If they put the pick to strictly the forum members on FF it could be an awesome experience for us and I know we like to believe that we're smarter than the average fan (which most of the posters on here are). But, while a few posters have been right on different prospects, it would be difficult to make the right picks when you have so many different opinions.

Absolutely not. A lot of casual Lions fans I know would want to draft Geno Smith or Matt Barkley, because they think Stafford is the sole hinderance of this organization. There is no way I'd want fans to make the selections, lol.

If you're a fan of the Lions on facebook and read some of the comments fans give out when asked about who the Lions should draft, then there is no way you want this to become a possibility.

Dennard at 5 would probably end up being the pick.
