Buffalo has not even made an offer yet. What are they doing? How do you leave one of your best players in limbo like that. Reportedly he is asking for something in the 8 mil a year range. I do not know if it is worth paying a guard that much! _________________

In a ZBS, heck no! However, we run (or were running) a hybrid ZBS, incorporating some Man/Power blocking techniques. I love Levitre and hope we keep him, but he admittedly is replaceable.
Still amazes me how many FF regulars I see are hoping their team signs him to either play the right side or in a power blocking scheme. He'd struggle as a RG (like he has at C) and is better suited to more of a zone scheme. He's a technician who quickly gets position, not a mauler, but I'm betting most of these posters have hardly even seen him play and are just looking at stats. _________________

His best asset has ALWAYS been his speed and ability to get to the second level. As a pulling guard he's the best in the league. But there is no way he could be an in the trenches mauler full time. It's just not his forte and if he's asked to do that the team that got him is using him wrong. _________________

It's 1 of 2 things.
1. They aren't overly impressed with his play. Most likely not the case.
2. He's priced himself out. He's named his price and they're too far apart. If that's the case, the bills are posturing and its obviously working. He who talks first loses and Levitre spoke. He said they haven't talked, he thinks they should offer him a contract, and he'd like to be a bill. _________________
