This could be an imporatnt deal and give some kind of terms to what Danny Amendola will be looking for...
$6-6.5 million is still too much for DA... | Way too much, Hartline is atleast an outside guy who can get deep as well as play the middle of the field.
I wouldnt pay a pure slot receiver the way Danny plays it anymore than $3.5 m per year |

Looks like Welker is gonna be off the market as well. Amendola's price-tag could be going up with a good amount of these potential FA WR's (Bowe, Welker, Hartline) getting deals...

Not only will Miami reach the cap floor if they sign Wallace, they will probably be over the cap _________________

Because $8mil per year would put him as THE highest paid Tight End in the league. I doubt he is asking for Jason Witten, Vernon Davis, Rob Gronkowski money. If he wants $8mil then it would be a Finley like contract, real short (2 years max).
If he wants anything long term, then he will likely be paid Top 10 TE money, but not Top 5. A 4 year deal around $6mil per is a reasonable & likely deal for a guy like Cook |

If he wanted just 6 mil a year he would have already signed a 5 year deal here. _________________

You're kidding me right? As much potential as he has, there is no way I would sign him for more than 4 million per year. And maybe not even that much. This is a guy who has done very little so far in the NFL, and didn't exactly have a high pedigree to begin with.
If you're telling me that I could re-sign Amendola instead, and simultaneously save money, then no way. _________________

We also have to keep in mind with these high paid free agents, with the rookie salary scale implemented, they are requiring higher contracts for vets. _________________ Welcome to the LA Rams

They deals these guys are getting it seems like the Rams may only sign 1 top free agent if they are active early this year.
I wonder if they target OL or go after a guy like Cook. Or go defense and get a Safety like Moore or Delmas. |
