What a monster fail

Tyler Eifert is going to be a very very good player, but you're right.

I bet Eifert doesn't even end up the best TE in this class let alone worthy of a Top 10 selection. There are currently only 2 TEs in the NFL who would be deserving of a Top 10 selection if they were in this years class and that is knowing what we know about them in the NFL. Those players are Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham. Simply put the only way a TE should ever be a Top 10 pick is if they can create mismatches all over the field and dominate even the top defenses in the NFL.

I'd take a 22-24 year old Tony Gonzalez or Dallas Clark top 10 as well. Maybe Jason Witten too.

I would maybe throw in Vernon Davis as well

Jimmy is a free agent next year.

Just throwing that out there. Twisted Evil

I was obviously talking about guys performence right now. Tony Gonzalez when he was in his prime is obviously worth a Top 10 selection. No to Jason Witten but he would be mid-late 1st. Dallas Clark are you kidding me? Top 10? Even at his best he would never be worth a Top 10 pick.

I was so mad that day... Not because he was a tight end, but rather because I hated his "i am a soldier, we are at war" personality.

And had Butch Davis not decided to use him on an on-side kick recovering in the pre-season (And then KW2 not decided to go joyriding) I think he would have been worth it.

When healthy, dude was potentially elite.

Not @ 6 tho....I like Eifert but that would be way too high, I'd rather wait and get ASJ (UW)

Such a strong TE class that as much as I like Eifert, taking him anywhere in the first I wouldn't be happy with.

Gavin Escobar, Travis Kelce, Vance Mcdonald are great value if we can get one of them in the 3rd or even 4th.

Those three will not be even close to the type of player Eifert will be. I would have no problem with drafting Eifert, I dont think I would do it at #6 though. Obviously a trade down to 11 or 12 and I would do it in a heartbeat.

But they will be good players imo and the disparity isn't enough to justify an early 1st round pick being used over a 3rd or 4th.
