Cardinals gave LB Stewart Bradley a 5-year, $30 million deal in 2011, he went to start 1 game that season and zero games in 2012.
Gay signed a 2-year, $3.2 million contract last season. He started 15 games, recording 57 tackles, 2 INTs and 3 FFs while struggling throughout the year in coverage. _________________

Hey gents.. I was just about to post it. Interesting news but Bradley has been semi expected. Gay is a surprise and makes me wonder if they are going to pursue Toler. _________________

I always thought Bradley was a odd signing anyway and, yeah, Toler should definitely be a priority now. _________________

That has to be the plan. That or let both Toler and Gay go and target a different CB like DRC. |

Toler needs to come back use Fleming as a #3 and we are fine. Do not want to go out there and create extra spots to fill with starting caliber players by not signing a guy like Toler. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

We're about 5m under the cap now with these cuts. Once Doucet is released and Kolb is re-structured we'll be almost 15m under the cap. Re-signing Toler/Johnson and paying for 6-7 draft picks will be easy financially. _________________

Neither was I but it makes sense if you think Toler and Fleming would be better by next year. No sense if paying Gay that much money to be a #3 or #4 CB. |

Bradley was a given, amazed it took this long.
Gay was a suprise, $1.6 mil is not much, however that can go to Toler to keep him, hope we hear about his resigning before Friday. |

Cutting Gay saves 3m, Bradley 3.5m... We are now 6m under the cap.

Gay doesnt save $3 mil
It was a 2 year 3.2 mil deal.
Vet min for 2012, makes it under 3 mil left if all was gauranteed anyway
That site says $250k dead money, small difference there. |
