| Draft analysts never seem too get denvers pick right. 2 years ago we were supposed to draft Marcel Dareus instead of Von Miller. Last year we were supposed to draft Jerel Worthy and we drafted Derek Wolfe. I really doubt denver drafts Eddie Lacy this year |

The last time they got it right I think was when we drafted clady but in recent years its never even really been close for who the "experts" have us drafting

I would think so. The only real concerns about him are intelligence and whether he will mail it in once he gets paid. I think the first is no big deal; the kid knows how to play football, if he struggles in the classroom that's fine. We'd be drafting him to plat UT, not to split the atom. The second I also don't think is that big of a concern because with the new rookie salary rules are such that rookies' big pay day doesn't come until their second contract. If is all about the money he will still have to play hard for 3 or 4 seasons before he can really cash in.
As a player he's a straight beast; strong enough to anchor in the run game but explosive with good instincts to get into the backfield. A real DT who can collapse the pocket from inside would do wonders for our defense.

I feel like if he's at 28 some other issue has to have come up. I think he's a lazy idiot and has effectively shown that. BUt if nothing amazingly new pops up and lack of actual talent in the draft I think its probably worth the risk.
Also I dont know if he struggles or is just lazy. It wasn't he was just failing or doing poorly. He just stopped going.

I think he's just lazy, he takes plays off from time to time.
And, while I would like the pick, I don't see Elway doing it. If you look at the players we've drafted the last two years the trait that ALL of them have is a relentless motor. Richardson doesn't have that and thus I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's not even on our board.

I honestly think Alex Okafor would be the best pick we could make. It moves Wolfe inside and makes our pass rush like three times better. Plus when the best DE in the draft falls to you, you have to take him, right?

I couldn't disagree more. Maybe you haven't watched him play enough, but the guy never stops until the whistle and then some. He routinely makes tackles downfield, on the other side of the field, etc. He's got rocks for brains when it comes to anything but football, but playing hard consistently is not an issue.
If he's there at #28 you pinch yourself and take him immediately. |

This is what I've heard. When I was familiarizing myself with Richardson he sounded like the same player as Derek Wolfe in terms of motor.

DE makes since even if Doom stays at a reduced price. It actually kills two birds with one stone (sliding Wolfe in). Its just a matter of how good the players available at 28 are.
