I would love a world in which we could sign Jake Long, William Moore, Derek Cox, AND Alan Branch and where we could get the 31st pick, the 34th pick, AND Vernon Davis for the 4th pick in a notably crappy draft to have a high pick....but unfortunately I live in this world.

No offense, man, you're just reaching for the stars here. I don't know why on earth SF would do that trade...

31st, 34th pick and a probowl TE for the 4th pick?? ehhh.

If you honestly believe that the niners would give that much for the 4th pick you are insane. Why would they even want to trade Vernon Davis? It makes no sense...
