I know 21million sounds like a lot but it isn't. Payton wants to restructure will and Vilma so don't plan on 15 mill there probably 10 to 12. Also trading Harper doesn't mean 7 mill. We get something in return likely a draft pick but we've got to pay those guys. We likely trade Ivory more draft picks. We need almost 10 mill for draft negating will and Vilma restructure. So all we have is Harps 7 mill which is only 6 (we have -1 now). Looms really wants Bushrod back 5 mill DeLa 2 mil galette cassillas 1 mill a piece.
That's puts us at -3 million.
Maybe get that to 0 with draft, but that's no money for any free agent signings unless we make more restructure or cuts. _________________ Isa Abdul-Quddus +hands = Darren Sharper 2.0 |

I almost wonder if the Saints are aiming to move up in the draft. Less picks = less cap space to consider.
I hope not, in a class this deep. _________________

I would think Loomis would do more than just what I said for cap space. _________________

I don't want us to move our first round pick. I wouldn't mind if we traded say our 3rd and 4th for a late 2nd gives us a better chance of getting Elam or Swearinger. _________________ Isa Abdul-Quddus +hands = Darren Sharper 2.0 |

Honestly TD... I'm to the point right now where if the Saints coaching staff feels like their is "DAT GUY" that they just absoutly MUST have and they feel his value is to much to pass up, I wouldn't mind seeing them go up and get him.
Teams like Arizona (if all 3 tackles are off the board), Buffalo & maybe even Miami could all be really intrested in trading back a few spots.
Say a guy like Lotulelei clears medically for the Saints and he's near the top of their board but he is availabe at the 8th pick and the Bills plan to draft a QB who would likley still be available at the 15th pick... Sean Payton's old buddy Marrone calls up and offers us a chance to get Big Lo at a reasonable price or Jarvis Jones, Dion Jordan, etc.
As long as the Saints see the guy as a big time difference maker then I'm ok with it.

You think they might like Millner and trade up? Since RR likes DBs? _________________

Maybe... he has all the measurables but he scares me to death in Ryans scheme. I do feel he'd eventually come around but Milliner has been groomed in Saban's zone coverage scheme. People will say that he played man at Alabama but that's not the case. Saban's defensive secondary has always been zone. _________________

Ditto. I'd rather have Rhodes, prototypical man-to-man corner.
Well, it's getting late. Gotta get up for work (sigh..) I'm gonna hit the sack, see ya fellas. _________________
