Man. Revis on one side, Leon Hall on the other. Geno, Dunlap and possibly MJ93 rushing the passer. Anyone but Maualuga at MLB. Good Lawd.

Too bad we have less than a 1% chance of making it happen... Laughing

A lot of it comes down to medical, if the medical checks out he's worth a first.

I'll 2nd IDOG's thoughts tho, stay away Lions, lol

Its not just medical (as in, being medically cleared to play). Its questionable that he can come back 100% from this type of injury.
not really. in this day and age, knee injuries of this type are common place and no longer really a question of if the player can come back to 100%, but rather when. So if he clears medical, and you feel confident w/ his rehab process that he will be ready for the start of the year, a first is his value.

I'd give them our first and a conditional pick next year, no question.

This news comes the day after Brady restructures his contract giving the Pats an extra $9m in cap room.

Fascinating.

Most teams may not give up a 1st, not only because of his injury, but his contract. A lot of teams don't want to forgo a 1st round pick and have to pay big money.

Teams may give up 2 seconds or a package but probably not a 1st depending on the team.

His value isn't THAT low....

We're talking about one elite player at one premium position.

Injury or no injury, he's worht A LOT more than a 2nd rounder.

It's lower because it's a major injury that DB's usually struggle to come back from. Also, he will want top 5 defensive player money AT LEAST.

Also, with his history, he may want a new contract in like a year or 2.

You trade high picks, major money and have injury and possible character concerns.

It's a massive risk

What are you insinuating?

I want to trade him to the 9ers for their 1st & Carolina's 3rd. Get him out of the AFC and let him and Sherman continue their beef.

First NFL offseason?

I think we're past the point in medicine where an ACL is a long term problem. Players come back all the time from it, that shouldn't really change anything. All reports have been saying Revis is ahead of schedule and should be ready for camp.

I'm expecting at least a first and third, and then a conditional in 2014. If they insist on trading him, there better be adequate compensation.

I see the 9ers the best landing position imo. They have cap space, SB contenders and have multiple draft ammo, now more so with the Smith trade. Bonus, gets to see his buddy Sherman twice a yr.

I could see the Jets getting conditional picks that would raise the value, but I just think any team would be foolish to give more than a 2nd round pick outright for a player coming off of a major knee injury at a position where athleticism is more important than any other.

Something like a 2nd round (can conditionally raise to a 1st for playing 80%+ of snaps) plus a conditional first the next year (if he makes the All-Pro team) would make sense for both teams.

Just think...

The Chiefs could have Flowers & Revis as their Corners.
(cause I'm certain the Chiefs could have got Revis, for what they gave up for Alex Smith)

That at least....would have been understandable.

crazy...

I think the 49ers should try to trade for him, adding him would possibly be the piece that gets them a SB and they now have more ammo to make a trade after getting a high 2nd for Alex Smith.

I hate that the Jets will probably trade him, its like we can never have a star player... sucks being a Jets fan.

Agreed, it does suck. Giving up my season tickets so I don't need to suffer anymore. With that said, I think the Niners 1st and the Chiefs 2nd for Revis is a realistic option for both teams.
