Not to mention, if we take Lane Johnson we can invent a new Wildcat-type formation where the Tackle comes around and takes a reverse, eventually throwing a bomb downfield. _________________

I would be ok with it. If we did go that route would you want...
Option A:
16. Lane Johnson
22. Jonathon Cooper
Option B:
16. Chance Warmack
22. DJ Fluker |
Option A for me, and it is easy. |
Agreed. Easily Option A. I hope we do not draft Fluker. I know he's a strong Right Tackle but the kid could barley keep track of his feet at the combine. He's going to be dealing with some much better athletes now. |
you may want two linemen but it's not going to happen. Really don't understand why anyone would want this to happen. I understand we need to improve our line and I fully expect us to use one first on an OL but we need playmakers just as much. There's absolutely no way we can pass on taking a playmaker in the first round. |

Elam will be our pick at 22. mark my words.
BPA OLINE at 16.
our safety play this year was absolutely horrendous.
Elam has a TON of energy, exactly what will fit in our already live defense. |

Warmack @ 16. The best player at his position and possibly best player in the draft b
Tavon Austin @ 22. Again could be the best player at his position. Brings that explosive playmaker that St. Louis has lacked for years. _________________

He plays with so much energy!! He willl fit perfectly in our defense. Rams are in dire need of a safety. Craig just isnt cutting it.. at all.
I believe the Rams have to draft a solid player, not an experimental player like a WR. AND Elam will play right off the bat, a WR will not. |

Warmack and Austin is the ideal scenario if Lane is gone. _________________

Tavon Austin will play right away. He isn't being drafted to sit on the bench. And he'll play at WR, HB, KR and PR.
Whereas we can find comparable players to Elam in Round 2 and 3. Plus, our biggest hole at Safety is at FS. Elam is a SS.
There are much better picks at #22 than Elam. _________________

I think you're right. With these two in our starting lineup I believe we increase our points per game average by 10 or more points. Our D is solid enough now to keep the other team in check. _________________

Agreed, I think that would be an excellent haul in the 1st round for us. Although, I have to admit, if Sheldon Richardson somehow made it to #16, I'd have a hard time not taking him... _________________

As fun as it sounds-- no.
I still think if Chance is gone at 16 then it should be a guy like Jarvis Jones or Sheldon Richardson (BPA) then Austin or Allen at 22. _________________

I like DeAndre Hopkins. Along with Austin I think he's one of the most ready to play WR's in the draft and can do it all. Not as fast as some others but still makes big plays. _________________
