All of that is understandable. I know Mallett's been taking snaps in practice and all that, but I think there's still something behind saying you'd rather have a guy who's been playing in college than a guy who's been 3rd/2nd string.

I still don't think saying a team is giving up a 1st or 2nd as if it's a sure thing is reasonable, though.

Why? College is very different than being a professional. Mallet has been living football for two years. College QBs have to at least take some classes and do the whole college thing. Though I can't quote a source, I would bet Mallet has spent more time on football the last two years than Geno Smith.

I think he goes to the Browns for a '14 2nd Rounder.

Thoughts?

Well to get some value out of Mallet today has to be the day we trade him

I think BB will be happy with the haul we have now, we have 8 picks to play with now, including 3 7ths where we know Bill likes to take those fallers and maybe a QB.

I think all the sense in trading Mallet goes into next year. Better draft and that versatility an extra 2nd Rounder would give us would be awesome.

Unless of course we go for the 3rd and a '14 3rd. I'd be over that too.
