Peter King suggests Jake Long to Rams

I just read about it on turfshowtimes.com. He just says we could be active early in FA going after a WR or OT. But he specifies Jake Long. Could be nothing, but maybe there's something to it. Where there's smoke there's fire.

lol...........Dolphins need to hit the cap floor. They will give him probably anything he wants when push comes to shove. He won't be a Ram, no way.

I don't see where we have the cap room. And I highly doubt Long stays with the Phins, he doesn't fit their new system.

He'l go to Cleveland ,with all the cash they have and move to RT and he and Thomas will set their offense for the next 10 years. They will draft a QB , sit Weeden as the #2 or trade him.

I really can't see Long coming here. Franchise caliber LT in FA command big money and as others have pointed out the Rams simply don't have that kind of cap space.

Not to mention as St Lunatic pointed out he is not the same guy who was drafted number one overall in the same draft as Chris Long.

I think he'd make a great RT..sure he's regressed a bit as a LT, but I always felt RT was his more natural position anyways. And I do believe that him and the Dolphins will be parting ways. That being said, I don't see the Rams making a big push for him, nor do I want to see us give him big time LT money
