Yea, i still cant believe shorts had such a great year |
The talent was noticeable if you'd seen him in camp.
His rookie year, he had a position coach who had no idea what he was doing and he didn't get many opportunities in games to show he what he can do besides returning punts.
It was gonna be a difficult transition already coming from D2.
Once we hired Jerry, it was money in the bank that he would progress.
What bothered me is that they waited 'till Gabbert was injured to make him a starter. (Oakland game) _________________ People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I'm well aware of how talented he is but between a terrible OL/QB combo its hard to produce for alot of WRs, even Fitz struggled mightily because of those factors _________________

It wasn't so much surprising that Shorts III improved...that was bound to happen.
The surprising thing was just how much he improved. It was pretty darn dramatic really. He went from 'lost puppy dog' to 'legitimate top target' in one season...with fairly pedestrian at best QB play to boot. |
