“@MaryKayCabot: Source confirms that WR Steve Breaston, cut by Chiefs last week, will visit the Browns sometime over next few days. He returns kicks too.”
I have always liked breaston, he isn't overly special but is solid through and through _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

I really wanted him when he signed with KC as a free agent. I think he is a little better than Massaquoi, he is a good compliment to what we have built already. With our lack of putting points on the board last season, however, if we do sign him, I wouldn't just rule out adding more offensive weapons still. You gotta score to win in the league today _________________

Yeah, Breaston cracked 1000 yards (barely) in 2008. But he's pretty much a 50-60 catch 700 yard guy. Great in the slot.
Don't know what happened to him last year. 7 catches on 15 targets. Especially confusing after Maiva hurt Bowe. They didn't have any depth. Todd Haley liked him. Daboll liked Hillis. Romeo likes everybody. _________________ There's always money in the banana stand |

| I'd rather us bring in a guy like Louis Murphy formerly of the Panthers. Breaston doesn't seem like a fit in Chud's offense. He's not a big vertical threat at all. I know we need slot guys regardless, but it seems like a waste of money to bring him in to be the 4th receiver when we still would need a #1/#2. |

I think he's more reliable than Mike Wallace. I would not be opposed to this move, but I don't think we should jump on him so early. There are many better targets available... _________________

I know we will have Little in the slot.
#1---Josh Gordon (Draft/FA)
#2---(Draft/FA) -OR- Josh Gordon
#3---Greg Little
#4---Travis Benjamin
#5---Jordan Norwood
would be an ideal WR alignment.
If we had Breaston, he would not be a #1 or #2....and Little is our #3. So that would make him WR #4...and I'm not sure he's better than Benjamin. |

Rumor I heard (on radio) about him was that he was in Romeo's doghouse. Must take a declaration of war to do that, so I'm not sure it's the best move for the team.
I do like that they're looking at veteran receivers, though. I just can't see Breaston being a great fit. |

How long do you suggest we wait? Because he's doing to be gone before FA starts. |
