He cant even perform against SEC competition with two great receivers. | yup. and a TE who's solid like Gonzalez was. |
Y'all hatin. We put 44 points on that "good" UGA defense. We also were top 15 in ppg and ypg in the NCAA. Our problem was we let up 45+ points to teams like Troy and Mizzou.
His main problem is off the field issues and his mental state in games.. He's the best pro prospect at QB Tennessee has had since Peyton, which really isn't saying too much |
You do realize that Bray threw 3 ints against Georgia. Threw the ball 45 times, and only averaged 6.2 ypa. I wouldnt call that a great day.
Out of your 44 points, 3 TDs were rushing, and one was an int return.
Bray had 19 TDs vs 11 Ints vs SEC play this year. 167/300(55.6%) 2038 yards(6.79 ypa).
Im sorry, but with Patterson, Hunter, and Rivera, he should be a lot better than that. Those are awful numbers. He shouldnt be touched before the 5th round. |
Our rushing game was pathetic last year. Of those three rushing TDs, 1 was CP on and end around, another was our LB on a wildcat from the inches. Also if you watched the tape the only INT that was Bray's fault was the last one. One was CP's fault and IIRC the other was tipped by a TEN WR first (think it was Zach Rogers). Not saying he's the next big QB in the NFL, but he is the 2-3 best QB in this draft right now, and by far the best arm. Glennon is going to bust hard. _________________

Out of these guys a lot are good looking late round prospects. Really like Doege as a 5-7 round QB and Duke Williams as a mid-round S. |
That Rod Sweeting kid just ran a 4.38. He has good size too. I don't really recall him doing a whole lot at GT but that Defense was awful. I'd like to see more tape on him. _________________

I really, really want to see Wheaton in a Falcons uniform. Kid balled at Oregon State and showed up big at the combine. I know WR isn't a big need, but I think it needs to be addressed. After Roddy, Julio, and HD, there really isn't anyone. What happens if a WR (especially Roddy or Julio) go down? Depth needs to be added and Wheaton would be a great complement to the current receivers, imo. _________________

um, no. he's not even going to be on the Falcons board. |
why not? he could easily be the #2 CB in the draft if he stayed in school. would probably dominate as our Nickel CB |
1) no he wouldn't. He's a nickel CB with stiff hips and a return specialist. He's average at best at cornerback and NFL scouts have agreed with me about his best fit being at nickel.
2) HE GOT KICKED OFF OF HIS COLLEGE TEAM AND WAS ARRESTED. Thomas Dimitroff's 38 NFL draft selections have a combined ZERO arrests pre-draft and ZERO suspensions pre-draft. Post draft, they have 1 arrest (William Moore for a driving w suspended license) and 1 suspension (Joe Hawley 4 games for adderall because of misfiled waiver). So no, he won't be on the Falcons board. |
I completely agree with this. Tyran Mathieu is not a good kid. He was dealing out of the bars in Baton Rouge and has been out to the bars every night I have ever been there. TD doesn't draft kids with arrests and Tyran Mathieu has had multiple.
As far as other guys from UGA especially, there is no way we draft Ogletree even if he falls to us. Suspended twice and a DUI. _________________

Sweeting would definitely be a TD pick in the 4th or 5th rd. He really was the only impact player on Tech's defense the past few years. I had no clue he would run that fast. He doesn't look that fast in game. He does have good size, and he could be a nice project that takes over for Franks or Owens.
Mathieu is a huge NO. He isn't that special. He has no position in the NFL. He might be able to make the transition to FS at the next level, but I don't even think he would make an adequate slot corner. With his baggage, I wouldn't take him before the 6th. _________________
