I think Justin Hunter has cemented his status as a 1st round pick.
My main beef with this is how safety is not addressed until the 5th round. And even then its an undersized prospect. To me safety needs to be addressed early. George Wilson is only a temporary solution, the FO should be looking for a guy who will be pushing him for the job by the end of the season.
I also don't like the corner in the 3rd, I don't think the corners are too bad. Yea we need a 3rd reliable one, but I felt Coty Sensabaugh showed some progress and then there's the enigma of Tommie Campbell. I could see adding a veteran to compete, but I see no point in throwing another mid round corner into the mix. _________________

Yeah look like Hunter has gone up the 1st round status.
Well, i can see your reasoning about the safeties and the corner. I'm hoping Campbell can get his head right.
But right now, it's just a feeling of them not being sure so they draft a corner to try to be that boundary corner and putting Verner in the slot.
In the end, I think you are right and they trust their corners on roster now and add a veteran in the mix. Safety was the biggest problem. |

I dig the first two picks, read that everyone's high on that 1st rounder as a raw talent. Hunter in the 2nd would be nice if he is BPA ..especially if we lose Cook and/or Britt.
To keep from posting more threads - What are people's thoughts on:
Alec Ogletree - really, really, really, like Ogletree.
Barkevious Mingo
Sam Montgomery
Tyrann Mathieu for S depth? - I see someone like Fish taking a late shot on him, wish it'd be us, have heard some good things about his focus.
Maybe trading up for Luke Joeckel or Chance Warmack?? What have people said about moving him inside? Are there any good OG/C in this draft? Louis Vasquez is on the FA market?
Also, I've been reading about the possibility of bringing in a big back to team up with CJ again. What do y'all think about ol Shonn Green?
Just for a few FA in general what are y'alls thoughts about maybe chasing CB Sean Smith or Nnamdi if he's cut? I heard Philly just really wasn't using him right, more coverage less man-to-man IIRC? I'd love to take a run at him given the opportunity. _________________

I love Alec Ogletree. Im not in love with Mingo and I STRONGLY STRONGLY dislike Montgomery for obvious reasons. I like Mathieu for depth. I really like Warmack and would be happy to get him and sign Vasquez. I do not want Shonn Green at all; id much rather draft a back this year to team up with CJ. Sean Smith will want too much money and Nnamdi isn't what he used to be but will still want the money just because of his name. So id rather draft a corner as well or sign a less expensive one to play nickel or to move Verner to nickel. _________________
