This is a very good signing for us. Not because George Wilson is a great safety or a game changer, but because it is an obvious upgrade over what we had at the position and while it may not make safety a strong point of our team, it makes it less of a weakness. That is big. The small contract allows us to still pursue playmakers at the position in the draft as well as players of other positions in free agency.

I agree. Now I just hope we are smart enough to get rid of Babs and Afalava now.
I'm not optimistic there. Afalava needs to be gone no questions but I just don't think they get rid of Babs. This team has so many bad contracts it isn't even funny. Reiny was a good GM but some of the contracts we gave out during his tenure are kinda outrageous. _________________
