16 player tournament Place your votes as to who you think we should pick if it came down between these 2
1- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
16- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
8- Keenan Allen, WR, California
9- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
4- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
13- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
5- Bjoern Werner, OLB, Florida State
12- Ezekial Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU
7- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10- Damonte Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
2- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
15- Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah
3- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
14- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
6- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
11- Kenny Vacarro, S, Texas
Match Ups
Smith vs Barkley- 2 QB's who will fit in the offense, while Geno is more versatile, Barkley is a prototype QB and played in a pro system
Allen vs Patterson- Allen is a better route runner and has more reliable hands while Patterson is more explosive and has immense potential
Fisher vs Johnson- Johnson is more of a RT while Fisher is more of LT however both can play either spot. Fisher is a beast when engaged while Johnson over powers rushers
Werner vs Ansah- 2 guys who just got into football recently, Werner is a stud the german bad [inappropriate/removed] will thrive with Rex and has less bust potential than Ansah, who's an athletic freak that needs 1-2 seasons of grooming
Jordan vs Moore- Jordan is the complete OLB who needs to bulk up but is a stud in coverage and freakish athleticism. Moore is a high floor, low ceiling player, not as explosive as some but reliable and consistent
Jones vs Star- an odd match up but I matched them up because they both would start from day 1, we have the choice between a pass rushing stud from the strongside or Star who would create a deadly foursome inside with Mo, Q and Kenrick
Warmack vs Jenkins- Warmack is the best player in the draft, best OG since Hutchinson, can step in day 1 and produce, while Jenkins is a project but again a ferocious NT goes a long way in a 3-4 D
Milliner vs Vacarro- Milliner would give us some leverage with Revis or make Cromartie expendable. I think he'll end up a top 10 corner by next year he's that good while Vacarro is a complete safety the best in the class and a hard guy to pass up with us losing both starters
place your votes by match up with a short explanation as to why, voting closes at 4pm Eastern time 2/21/13
have fun _________________

1. Geno and Barkley would fit in well in a WC system but for me Geno is the quarterback i prefer at this moment.
2. I like both of them but for me Patterson has the tools to be a legit #1 receiver, something we have needed for a long time.
3. Fisher and Johnson could both come in and immediately upgrade our right side of the o-line as Howard could shift inside to guard but the athleticism and smarts of Fisher make him the better of the two.
4. Both probably wont fit our system so il take Werner who has more experience and less bust factor. Ziggy could end up being like JPP but who knows!!
5. Hardest decision out of all of them as i love Jordon but Moore is my favorite defensive player in this draft so i would take him over Jordon for that reason.
6. JJ is perfect for our defense and if medically cleared by our doctors could overtake Moore as my favorite defensive player in the draft. Star would be good here but i think i would go nuts having 3 1st round picks on the d-line in a row!
7. Same reasoning regarding position i would take Warmack all day over a nose tackle!
8. Even if we trade Revis or Cro i dont want a corner in the first 3 rounds unless he has Revis like potential! I like Vaccaro but again our secondary is the only part of our team which is rated in the top 3 so if we bring back LaRon i wouldnt take one in the 1st round. _________________

It is difficult to separate them in breakdown but Barkley had shoulder surgery. Smith is the one.
8- Keenan Allen, WR, California
9- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Allen is basically big possession or slot guy. Patterson has tools to be number one.
4- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
13- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Fisher can pass and run block whilst Johnson only can pass block with high upside to be a prototypical LT.
5- Bjoern Werner, OLB, Florida State
12- Ezekial Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU
Werner is a proven pass rusher.
7- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10- Damonte Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
I think it is easy to teach Jordan how to rush right than improve Moore's explosiveness.
2- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
15- Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah
Jones has a lot of flaws. Pass.
3- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
14- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
Love to have solution at long term LG.
6- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
11- Kenny Vacarro, S, Texas
Big time player at SS.

1- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
16- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
This one is tough for me. I hate USC QBs but Barkley seems different. I think Barkley has a lower floor but also a much higher ceiling.
8- Keenan Allen, WR, California
9- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
4- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
13- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
These two seem pretty straight forward.
5- Bjoern Werner, OLB, Florida State
12- Ezekial Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU
7- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10- Damonte Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
Ansah and Jordan both scare me because they remind me of Gholston. Then again, so did JPP.
2- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
15- Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah
Jarvis Jones is tied with Warmack as my #1 most wanted guy when you take into consideration that we have the #9 pick and not #1. Jones would probably still be above Star overall if not for his injury concerns. I think Star can be a Haloti Ngata like player.
3- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
14- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
I really like Jenkins, but not at #9. I wouldn't mind trading back up for him at the end of the first or holding out for our second rounder, which is where I thought he was going. Warmack is a sure thing at a need position.
6- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
11- Kenny Vacarro, S, Texas
I'm a huge Alabama fan (look at my username), but I don't really want Milliner. I have watched almost every play of his in his college career and he is really overrated in my eyes. He has a ton of talent, but he's not the shutdown island corner people seem to think he is. He might be better than Vaccaro, but Vaccaro fills a need. If Revis or Cro leave...IDK.[/b] |

1- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
16- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
not even close imo, i think Smith has a higher floor and a higher ceiling
8- Keenan Allen, WR, California
9- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
I just don't see anything other than a decent possession reciever out of Allen at the next level, Patterson on the other hand might be the best skill position guy in this years draft
4- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
13- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Fisher sold me at the senior bowl, he looked like the real deal
5- Bjoern Werner, OLB, Florida State
12- Ezekial Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU
I like the idea of Ansah, but there is to much bust potential and we don't have the luxuryof missing on this pick. Werner really strikes me as being the guy that we WANTED Pace to be, solid setting the edge, really good pass rusher.
7- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10- Damonte Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
This one is a draw for me. Moore is the better pass rush right now, but might have the lower ceiling. Jordan might be the better overall player, and may have a higher ceiling but i think he has more bust potential. I would be happy with either guy
2- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
15- Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah
Lotulelei could help this team a quite a bit, but his motor scares me a bit. The only reason not to go jones is if you are scared of his injury, other than that he the outside pass rusher that we have needed since... forever
3- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
14- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
i've been on the Warmack bandwagon since the begining can't stop now
6- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
11- Kenny Vacarro, S, Texas
Both really good guys, S is just much more a position of need, even if we trade Revis |
