The 2011 third-rounder was waived on Tuesday. It bodes poorly for Patrick's future that a team as talent deficient as the Saints on defense would waive a day-two pick less than two years after the fact — especially in February — but he's still only 24. He should compete for a spot on special teams in Chargers camp. |

I know nothing about him, but a 3rd getting waived two years out isn't usually a good sign. Wonder if this changes the draft at all? _________________

With what the saints fans have said on the thread about him being released, i'm not inspired...
Apparently he was just down right pathetic last year. _________________

He's a #4 CB and nothing better. Would surprise me if he got a spot. Camp body. _________________

He has decent size, but ran a 4.59 at the combine. Track speed doesn't always translate to the field, but CB is one position where being 1/10 of a sec behind somebody will kill you. _________________

I liked him as a prospect in the third. That was before he played bad, but may as well see what he's got. He's really just camp fodder. _________________

The bright side is he is young and can't really get any worse. Nowhere to go but up, or out. And it's not like you guys spent much on him.
I think his ceiling is a low end #3 CB, I think he could be a decent #2 FS with a good DB coach though. _________________

With the VERY limited play I don't think he is worth a shot as a CB on an NFL roster. Maybe as a safety. _________________
