How much would it cost to tag him?
I still don't think Dennard will face any serious jail time. _________________

You would think he wouldn't, but following this case you would have thought there was no way he'd be convicted. |

Why does everyone think he will get away scott-free?? He was on trial for gods sake. He didn't enter a plea bargin, so theres no fine+probation+what ever else. Expect Dennard to be suspended also. ( I disagree with that notion ) _________________

The "cop" he assaulted wasn't in uniform and unless he identified himself, how could Dennard know he was a cop? it was a bar fight... and he was even found not-guilty in the assault of the other guy. _________________

He could always serve time over the summer. Jamal Lewis did it when he got four months for drug trafficking.
Yes, four months for drug trafficking. _________________

The problem was the case against him wasn't necessarly good. The witnesses had different stories than the cop. The video didn't show anything. And the fact that the Cop said Dennard hit him didn't produce any cuts or bruising. All seemed weak to me. Personally I thought he would have just been found guilty of resisting. |

4 months? he could face up to 5 years in prison. |
Lewis pled down. Dennard could still plead at this point, and I'm thinking he will. Maybe not to 4 months, but if he can get it to a year he could just serve it in three four month terms, I believe. _________________

I'm not an expert but why would they plead him if they already found him guilty? _________________

He hasn't been sentenced yet. They can still plea now that he's been found guilty: they just have less leverage. _________________

If that story is true, then it proves further how the American Judicial system is terrible.
5 years for hitting someone and not even marking them? Their profession doesn't matter if they aren't at work. _________________
