2nd round pick range is 580 to 270. Let's say Tampa finishes in the middle of the pack at best the 2nd round pick is worth 425.
Buffalo
#8 pick- 1400
#104 pick- 86
1486
Tampa Bay
#13 pick- 1100
2nd Round next year- 425
1525
Looks like Buffalo gets better of the deal as far as points. Smart move for Buffalo if they decide to draft a QB in the
first round. |
General rule of thumb is when you use future picks you decrease one round of value. So if you trade a 2014 2nd round pick, it equals a 3rd... |
Pretty much sums up what i was gonna say about that Sometimes it's considered half value sometimes 1 round less according to where the pick is.
Also think we reach a full round to early on Jones at DE.
I don't mind the position at all in DE i just would have rather taken a guy like John Jenkins or Arthur Brown or even Teo if Bengals dont want him then take Jones in the 2nd where he is expected to go. _________________

Well...
Round 1 - in this situation, I would love to see a trade back (maybe out of the first for an early 2nd and more)...pick up Margus Hunt (yep I'm jumping on the hype wagon! 6' 8" 270 lbs that's scary quick and country strong, what's not to like?) he could line up at end or DT in a 4-3 front...
Round 2 - Love Reid...but I'd be surprised if Fluker is passed up...especially with so much depth at safety this year...
Round 3 - David Amerson (perfect safety candidate IMO), Travis Frederick, or Brian schwenke would be great picks...I think Thomas can be had in the 4th...
My 2 cents...good work overall _________________

No way the Bengals sign Greene. We have a slow guy in BJGE, why sign Greene? Otherwise give us Mingo at 21 and Ellington in the 3rd _________________

I really really like this Panthers draft. I cannot think of another way I would want it to fall. _________________

I can't see werner fitting the jaguars mold. Gotta be Mingo or Jordan
In the second I think margus hunt would be strongly considered. His fit in the jaguars D might be a little odd but I think that caldwell and bradley could think he has got superstar potential.
3rd I'd have to say OL or CB help, maybe a guy like david amerson who is big and fast. |

I'd love if we could get Steven Jackson, but if we did I doubt we'd take a RB in the third then. I'm iffy on Moore, but I suppose I wouldn't mind taking him if he fell that far. I do not like Armstead in the 2nd. Just because he's fast doesn't necessarily mean he's a good tackle. Plus we have Bulaga at RT, and our first round pick from two years ago Sherrod will be competing at LT. I don't think we've given up on him yet, he just hasn't been healthy. _________________

| So you have the Browns keeping Weeden, trading for Flynn, and then drafting Bray? Doesnt make sense to me. IMO they keep Weeden and maybe get 1 of the two other guys but not all 3. |

Saints will find away to get under the cap. All teams will. The cap figures today will change with restructured contracts and player cuts. _________________

Who says the Browns will keep Weeden? New regimes usually gets rid of the old quarterback. I figure Flynn will start until Bray get acclimated. Bray is a major project with a high ceiling. I looked into the future is this is how it will go down. Doesn't make sense but it is your team. LOL. _________________

Almost got upset about Tebow going to my Falcons till I read that it was the Atlantic Falcons not the Atlanta Falcons...breathing much easier and wish him the best of luck in the ocean...all in all, pretty nice draft...except I'd take Escobar in the 3rd over the LB _________________
