There's several Kickers in the NFL today who are accurate within 40 yards and near garbage past that.
If she's got the accuracy within the 40 yard range, she has a decent shot. _________________ Legends Never Die. They Breathe Through The New Generation.

Fair enough. The MASS MAJORITY doesn't enjoy watching female sports.
Last thing I'll say on this issue is the culture inside the NFL won't allow it to happen. The 1st female NFL player will be on IR before the end of her 1st game. Its not fair. Its not nice but its the way it is. |

who cares?
if a team has a female kicker, she's in the game for about 6-10 plays. that's hardly turning the game in to "female sports."

If she is allowed to play in the NFL then anyone should be able to join a women's league. Can you imagine Jerome Harrison playing in a women's league? Would be absolute murder. |
Justice Henry Billings Brown called. He wants his verdict back. Plessy v. Ferguson reference, for those who didn't get it.

Separate but equal is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and immoral. | TBF this isn't a constitutionality issue, the NFL is a private league, it doesn't have to allow women in. However, the NFL does not prevent women from entering their league, its a meritocracy so if a woman is capable of playing at the NFL level she has every right to do so.
As for the "age discrimination" issue. It is unconstitutional, it was ruled as such at the circuit court level, however the appellate court overturned that ruling, not on merit, but rather on the fact that since its a COLLECTIVELY BARGAINED POLICY, its not subject to judicial review. _________________

If she can play, let her play. She deserves just as much chance as anyone else does.
I could see some issues with it, like, would they have a separate locker room for her? Because I could see either her (or a future female player) or some other players being uncomfortable with sharing the same locker room. I could also see some possible problems with sexual harassment, seeing that it has happened before with reporters. I actually have experience with playing football with a girl, and these problems did arise (even got more complicated than what I have already posted). _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

If she can play, and can do the job as well as a man. She should play.
I don't want any of my children playing football. But I'm also raising my daughter to understand that there are no limitations (other than the obvious biological ones) that are in her way they she didn't in fact place there herself.
God forbid my daughter grows up to be a good FG kicker. But if she does well and can do the job and can handle the rough time she'll have as a breakthrough player, then she should be able to try out.
The woman who finally does break through should enjoy our applause...not scorn. _________________

People enjoy watching the best athletes in the world perform at their sport. While these great athletes tend to be men, it doesn't really matter. It shouldn't matter if a player is male, female, or none of the above. _________________

Hell, I can't find anything other than a random message board that claims Sports Illustrated said this in 1988. As for Reggie's claim...when was it that they played all these 1-on-1 games? I chalk it up to brotherly love.
The best WNBA players absolutely could not hold a rotation spot in the NBA. The absolute best post player in the WNBA might be able to beat the worst and smallest NBA guard in a game of one-on-one, but that hardly proves anything about their ability to keep up athletically and physically for minutes in a team environment involving rotations, physical defense, transition offense and defense, etc.
Women are physically inferior to men (relative term). It's simple science. Testosterone > Estrogen. _________________
