Any talk about the upcoming combine goes in here.
Who will you be keeping a close eye on?
Who do you expect to perform well?
etc.
Here are a couple guys I will be keeping a close eye on:
Ziggy Ansah, DT/DE
Matt Smith, QB
Datone Jones, DT
Khassem Greene, WLB
Phillip Steward, SLB
Justin Hunter, WR
Carradelle Patterson, WR |

Mayock and Billick were saying this could be an OLine dominated draft. I am growing a man crush on Kyle Long. He also got a top score in his 40. 4.94.
Terron Armstead made some money today though!!!! |

All Terron Armstread did is ensure he'll be over-drafted. Bruce Campbell put up fantastic numbers but it hasn't helped him yet.
He'll look great on film because he was playing at UAPB and he had a pretty good week at the senior bowl but he's still an incredibly raw prospect who will need time to develop. He should still earn no better than a day 3 grade and somebody will probably snatch him up before then. Good story - fun to watch - but I don't want to be the team that falls in love with guys in underwear. We did that a bit last year with Irvin and we'll see how that works out long term. He's just a situational pass rusher who couldn't hold his own in a limited full time role for now.
Kyle Long I like though - good versatility and tape looks good. |

Going into the combine, I really liked Patterson and so far nothing has changed that but Markus Wheaton has really impressed me. In fact, I would consider skipping on Patterson in the 1st to grab Wheaton in the 2nd or 3rd depending on how the draft shaped out. I'm really looking forward to the interior pass rush guys. _________________

Cornerbacks that impressed me today:
Xavier Rhodes- I really liked him coming in and he did nothing but impress. The only thing I don't like about him (for Seattle) is he's a better outside CB than inside. I think he could play safety looks however if he's the 3rd CB on a team. Excellent size, physical, great at tracking the ball, and came in really fast and explosive. If we didn't have Browner, he'd be really high on my "want" list.
Desmond Trufant- Ran really well, I was expecting mid 4.3's and he delivered. A little tighter up top than you'd like, but it doesn't look like it hurts him on film.
Jamar Taylor- He impressed me in the bowl game against UW. Impressed me even more today and ran fast. I'd love him in the nickel.
Darius Slay- Looked really smooth and was very fast. He'd be a perfect NB.
Logan Ryan- Not overly impressive in measurement drills but just a very fluid player who belongs in the slot here. _________________
