I don't know much about Patrick. What can Saints fans tell me about Patrick? What type of coverage is he best suited for? _________________

Did Ballard even play for the Pats last season? I think Hoomanamanamawai was the first man up once Gronk and Hernandez got hurt. I didn't think Ballard played this season, but I could be wrong.
Nonetheless, Thomas had played for the Pats before, correct? I'd surmise the familiarity to the system would get him pretty high on the pecking order. _________________

He did not and is still very much a gamble to even suit up (the injury is chancey from what I understand.)
I would also mention the Patriots released Thomas in part because he was not cognizant of game situations (see his penalty that cost the Pats the colts game in '08.) _________________

...given the new rules to IRed players, I don't see how this answers my questions.

Hmm, thought it was an ACL tear that sidelined him? Can't be THAT bad, can it?

Aha, that makes more sense. In the Texans forum, we actually see FB/TE James Casey as someone that the Pats would target, but we shall see... _________________

I would like the Lions to get Thomas as a replacement for Will Heller. Patrick intrigues me too. But, how good/bad was he? _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

It was embarrassing watching him play last year _________________

Didn't want to lose Thomas. I'm hoping they just resign him to a smaller deal.
Patrick was a flop. Nothing more than a 4 or 5 CB imo. _________________

You traded him to us, but he was a very good red zone weapon for us this past year and an effective blocker. I think he'll be back on a smaller deal. _________________

There is no room for him though, the Patriots have at least 5 TEs on the roster right now. [Fells will be released though most likely] |
Kind of off topic, but what do you think will happen with Hoomanawanui? Will he stick on as a 4th TE or will he leave (he's a RFA IIRC) _________________
