Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2013 5:31 pm Post subject: Bored? Lets all play this User based name Skins draft board. |
|
|
|
Here's how it works. Simple...
Take whatever your current "USER" name is & create a Redskins Draft Board from it. Sorry WOZ
#1)Whatever letter represents your user name, must match the letter starting with the "LAST NAME" of draft prospect.
You must take the highest ranked player according to this site: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings
But it can be for any position you desire for the Redskins to select.
Lets use WOZ for an example?
If WOZ wants the Redskins to select an OG with the 2nd rd pick, than Chance Warmack MUST be his draft board selection. (yes...even if Warmack is projected as a top 5 pick. that's the rule)
If WOZ wants a DT, then his pick MUST be Jesse Williams, as he is the highest rated DT on the board, according to this site.
But here's the catch!
Each Round of your draft board, depending what your user name is?
That player MUST be lower in RANK.
In other words, if WOZ wanted the Redskins to select WR *Robert Woods(ranks 43rd player overall) with the Redskins 2nd rd pick.
His "O" & "Z" selections cannot have a player ranked higher than *Robert Woods overall rank. Since WOZ only has 3 letters in his user name, he can only have 3 players on his draft board.
Which would be his
2nd round:
3rd round:
4th round:
draft board...
The Redskins currently have a
2nd
3rd
4th
5th
5th
6th
7th
round selections.
Any USER with longer than 7 letters in their name, would fill the remaining letters with 7th round prospect players, as they must be ranked lower overall accordingly.
Here's the cool part:
If you have a number or numbers in your USER name, that are a 7 or lower in number? (like a draft) You may add that, to the Redskins current Draft status. (extra picks if you will)
So if your USER name was FRED27?
You would get an EXTRA 2nd and 7th round pick for your Redskins draft board.
OK? (On top of the name FRED)
So FRED27 draft would look like this...
F=2nd rd pick
2=2nd rd pick
R=3rd rd pick
E=4th rd pick
D=5th rd pick
7=7th rd pick
(Fred27 would not have the extra 5th rounder or a 6th rounder on his Big draft board)
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or post them here.
I will keep have a "USER NAME REDSKINS DRAFT BIG BOARD" on a different created thread for your draft selections.
Then after the draft, we can look back and see if any of us hit on such randomness.
Remember...you can draft anyone you want or like at any position.
Just so long as he has that "letter" (or #) in your user name.
So use the link I have above, to search for those specific lettered players in your user name.
Please put their overall rank next to the position and players name, please for each rd you are able to do.
like
2nd rd=WR Robert Woods (43rd)
3rd rd= ?? ????? ????? (would have to be lower than 43rd)
PLEASE, use this thread for discussion purposes or questions.
Thank you! _________________

Turtle, you should have 7 picks
Your "2" gives you an extra 2nd rd selection.
Put their ranking up too, please.
I've posted turtles28 & MKnight82 draft big board and MAIN GAME thread. (along with mine)
Which just came up!

Actually MKnight82...
you get a 2nd rounder for your number, then the K begins.
So your draft should look like this
2nd rd--M--
2nd rd--2--
3rd rd--K--
4th rd--n--
5th rd--I--(it will probably be Ingram(384).."I" was tough and he's the nearest i believe)
5th rd--G--
6th rd--h--
7th rd--t--
so you basically get 1 more pick. Your K & #2 are separate picks.
You might want to redo yours buddy.
You were very close on it. _________________

I've posted your user name on main game thread.
There you will find what picks you have according to your name.
Turtle28 and MKnight82 may want to go over your draft picks again for the rds you have.
Both of you have an extra rd, you didn't have before. _________________

OK...
I left Teo and mcDonald as your top 2nd rd selections for turtle and McKight.
Both of you have BONUS 2nd rd selections because of your #2 in your name.
They can be any player you choose, no matter their letter.
You may also change your Teo & McDonald picks as well.
Since we are just getting this thing organized.
good luck!
Check other Main game thread to see what you need.
I'm just waiting on your picks... _________________

This reminds me of the thing we did last year with our initials. I remember that Kendall Hunter was pretty much the only talented player with my initials.
R- Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State (17th overall (we don't need Sheldon Richardson))
E- Matt Elam, S, Florida (41st overall (we don't need Ertz or Eifert this early))
D- Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall (56th overall)
S- Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi St. (70th overall)
K- A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa St. (166th overall (I could've gone WR, but it's not worth going for 2 of them after Dobson))
I- Luke Ingram, LS, Hawaii (384th overall (there was pretty much nobody else))
N- David Nwabuisi, OLB, Northwestern (403rd overall (Who?))
S- Sam Schwartzstein, C, Stanford (416th overall (Who, again?))
I think I did it right. I'm not sure what to do with the numbers. For anyone else who has "Redskins" in their username, you should use people other than the ones I chose! _________________ RIP SuperSkinFan

Redskins 24-7 You get an extra 2nd, 4th & 7th rd selections added to your big board.
You may want to go over your picks again.
Your draft board should look like this...
2nd rd--R- Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State (17th overall (we don't need Sheldon Richardson))
2nd rd--2-Bonus player of any name you want. (he would have to be between 17 & 41 though)
3rd rd--E- Matt Elam, S, Florida (41st overall (we don't need Ertz or Eifert this early))
4th rd--D- Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall (56th overall)
4th rd-4--BONUS player of any name so long he's between 56 & 70 ranking
5th rd--S- Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi St. (70th overall)
5th rd--K- A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa St. (166th overall (I could've gone WR, but it's not worth going for 2 of them after Dobson))
6th rd--I- Luke Ingram, LS, Hawaii (384th overall (there was pretty much nobody else))
7th rd--N- David Nwabuisi, OLB, Northwestern (403rd overall (Who?))
7th rd--S- Sam Schwartzstein, C, Stanford (416th overall (Who, again?))
7th rd-7--BONUS player with any name, so long he's after 416 in ranking.
I will wait to post yours...you may want to redo your draft. _________________

4- Phillip Thomas, FS, Fresno State (65th overall)
7- Josh Hubner, P, Arizona State (455th overall)
Hey, we need a punter! _________________ RIP SuperSkinFan

2nd round (75) – M – Vance McDonald – TE – Rice
2nd round (85) – BONUS - Bacarri Rambo – FS - Georgia
3rd round (105) – K – Tavarres King – WR - Georgia
4th round (136) – N – Xavier Nixon – OT – Florida
5th round (384) – I – Luke Ingram – LS - Hawaii
5th round (404) – G – Jerrell Gavins – CB – Boise St
6th round (455) – H – Josh Hubner – P – Arizona St
7th round (480) – T – Brynden Trawick – SS - Troy
For people interested, the easiest way to do it is to sort the players by name. Then just look through that letter for the best available player. |
