Duke is a lesser known guy, I bet we can wait. Id rather use the pick on Jackal, Apoco, or Harper.

There are at least 3 other safeties that will go before him.

I dont mind who we pick though.

I couldn't pass up Williams and votes were still in his favour. I'd love to get Jackal next round and watch the X-Men continue to fall.

Too late. If we hadn't signed Mendenhall, I would have been all over us grabbing a RB with this last pick.

Whoops, I meant Electro.

I think there will be better players available, plus he doesn't really offer an upgrade over the guys we have. But I am a fan of his, just not for us.

Really think we missed out on a great talent in Jon Franklin. I know he isnt a need but in 4th round you always go bpa.

IMO, he wasn't the BPA. Nassib was. The two Williams's were best values. With Harper following Nassib as BPA.

How badly do we want Harper and do we try to trade up and get him?

With the 112th pick, the St. Louis Rams select;

Shawn "Iron Cross" Williams, SS - Georgia

We love what this pick does for our defense. Arguably the biggest need for the Rams going into this offseason was safety and now we feel like we have all but assured that the safety position will fortified for years to come by a couple of nasty Georgia Bulldogs. We picked Rambo in the previous round and now we have rounded up his teammate Shawn Williams. Both players will get to learn from All Pro Quintin Mikell and benefit from his years of expertise. We love Shawn's sound tackling and his ability to be a presence in both the pass and run.

Welcome to St. Louis, Shawn.

I doubt we'll be able to. I'd just take my chances in the 5th.

Nassib was a fourth round pick? What on Earth... Confused

In FFMD, QBs fall like Punters. I think Tyler Wilson was the first off the board after Geno went #1 and it was the 3rd RD.

Damontre Moore put up 19 reps this morning. Doubt he drops to us if he did that at the combine.

That wasn't his only terrible numbers at the combine however.

Your right, the 40 was his only other problem. He was top 5 in everything else.

Either way, he scares me a bit and I'd be happier if he was taken before our pick.

Oh yeah, he's a risky pick for sure. You don't know whether the guy was a product of the Texas A&M defense or not. The one thing I hated about him was his inconsistency. But that's the thing about young players like him, he's a high risk high reward kind of guy. He could completely flunk out or turn into a gem with great coaching.

Moore has everything you look for in a pass rusher. Quickness, size, and long arms. Those 3 things are ESSENTIAL to any pass rusher in my opinion. I wish he put up a better 40 time and bench press at the combine, but that's the reason why he was an option for us in the first place. He did great things in college, and did some bad things. Lets not forget he's only 20 years old. He has a lot of learning to do and is still growing into his giant frame.

Now this may have nothing to do with your argument, but in our FFMD situation, there really was no better player/pick out there. We were open to trading but of course no one wanted to trade up. We were thinking about reaching for a need in D.J. Fluker, but that's a bad way to draft... and we got him in the 2nd round anyways. Crazy. There honestly was no one else that filled a need that wasn't a reach so we decided to go with the player that we felt had the greatest upside and skill set.

If he pans out, imagine Chris Long, Robert Quinn, and Damontre Moore (from LB) rushing the QB at the same time. That would be something crazy.

I had no issue with us taking him in FFMD, in fact, he was great value where we got him in my opinion, but, FFMD is all fun and games. When it comes to the real draft, I honestly would rather us not take him and I don't think we would. The situation I can see him thriving in is OLB in a 3-4. I just don't want any part of him being relied upon to cover TE's in our defense. Some will say he would put his hand in the dirt for us and play DE, but I still feel his position in the NFL is OLB in 3-4.

I would MUCH rather have Ogletree on the Rams in real draft, and its not close in my eyes.

I completely agree with you too. In FFMD, he's not our starting LB by any means. We signed Erin Henderson to be our main strong-side linebacker. We drafted him to play the "joker" role. Occasionally he will be asked to cover just to mix things up but we are mainly going to ask him to walk around the line of scrimmage and rush the passer. I thought his greatest asset in college was blitzing the A-gap or the interior line in general. He can do that and cause some serious havoc with Chris Long and Robert Quinn rushing wide and spreading the opposing offensive line.

As long as your corners can cover for a couple seconds, it would be a lethal defense in definite passing situations.
