Well if you are going to put him at 3-4 DE, Ansah is kinda similar to Calais Campbell whom horton had in zona _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

Ensah is not a 3-4 DE. He will be a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE _________________ Adopt A Brown

I feel like Ensah MAY be a more finesse guy where Star will just slaughter you.
Ensah has the higher ceiling with his measurables and 1 less heart condition.

hes more similar to Dockett. Hes a more athletic darnell dockett. Campbell (whom I had I had us drafting to play 3-4 end several years ago) is tall and has a thinner build. both great 3-4 ends. _________________ Trent Richardson please!!! |

I mean after seeing his numbers at the combine I would be comfortable putting him at OLB _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

As would I.
Remember the hybrid talk...
Ensah, Taylor, Rubin, Sheard and maybe Wynn rushing the passer. _________________

the one thing with Ensah is he is very raw: on the field and off the field.
6'5 271 and good workout numbers but only put up 21reps on bench.
I think if he got into a NFL strength program he could bulk up and get stronger, since he has never consistently been in a football workout program.
So after a year or two he could be 6'5 280ish. That be really good size for a 3/4 DE.
I like Margus Hunt 6'8 275+, ran a 4.6 and a 1.6 10split and threw 225 up 38times. He is built to be a 3/4 DE. Seems he has the size and ability to play any three positions along the 3/4 DL _________________

| There is a ton of technique involved in playing 3-4 DE. Ezekiel Ansah is nowhere close to being able to do that. |

yeah he is very raw so it wouldnt be hard for coaches to erase bad technuque becuase none of them have been set in stone. Where you get some guys playing DL for their whole life that some of the techniques they have are not good but are so ingrained into their muslce memory that they could be a lost cause.
I like raw athletes cause it means our coaches can mold them into the player they really want _________________

The guy who had one of the best combines for pass rushers is Ty Powell and for some reason I haven't heard his name on broadcast, websites or forums one single time. All year long I have heard and read from numerous different sources that have said he is a TOp 75 lock. I guess NFL scouts have been on this guy since the beginning of the season and love his game. I personally have never seen him play, however, the numbers he put up at the combine with the stats and all the scouts liking him should speak volumes.
Everyone is stroking off at the sight of Cornellius Washington's name right now, but if both were on the board at #68 the clear cut BPA and pick should be Ty Powell in a landslide. _________________

On page 1 or 2 I have some of the best in the game today already posted. If you would like to come up with a consensus Top 5 I would easily be able to give you the numbers as I have then all back to 99.
1. DeMarcus Ware
2. Jevon Kearse
3. Dwiight Freeney
4. Julius Peppers
5. Jared Allen
The problem with that Top 5 is if you are comparing for the Browns 34 defense Freeney and Peppers don't fit and Allen is not a great fit either. You would also be leaving out Clay Matthews, Von Miller, Aldon Smith and Bruce Irvan who don't deserve to be Top 5 so early, but are clearly going to make there mark in a big way in this league. |
Hey Kam, good stuff...
Can you show me the numbers on these guys please?
Aldon Smith
Anthony Spencer
Justin Houston
Ryan Kerrigan
Terrell Suggs
Tamba Hali
James Harrison
LaMarr Woodley
Shaun Phillips
Joey Porter
Greg Ellis
Adalius Thomas
Not sure if they all even went to the combine or even participated in all the events, but I'd love to see whatever you have on them. Thanks!
Oh, and I did see what you said back when you posted your ideal combine ranges (nice, by the way). I'm just curious to see how that translates to these guys too. _________________

I see ansah being like adalius thomas. Im not comparing the playing ability of the two just the size. Thomas played OLB successfully at his size _________________ Adopt A Brown
