I met the dude this summer doing an NFL camp for kids and did not get the impression he was going to be that fast. He did look like a bowling ball though so the reps do not surprise me. |

5. Justin Kurpeikis(2001) 6.82
Most everyone of these guys have at least carved our a niche in the NFL for a career. The only guy to place Top 10 in every category was Connor Barwin.
Supposedly Ezekiel Ansah ran a 6.84 cone yesterday which is flat out insane for 271 pounds. |
I think it would actually be more interesting to see the combine numbers the top 5 pass rushers in the NFL had from 1999-2012. But I do appreciate the effort in compiling these numbers. |
On page 1 or 2 I have some of the best in the game today already posted. If you would like to come up with a consensus Top 5 I would easily be able to give you the numbers as I have then all back to 99.
1. DeMarcus Ware
2. Jevon Kearse
3. Dwiight Freeney
4. Julius Peppers
5. Jared Allen
The problem with that Top 5 is if you are comparing for the Browns 34 defense Freeney and Peppers don't fit and Allen is not a great fit either. You would also be leaving out Clay Matthews, Von Miller, Aldon Smith and Bruce Irvan who don't deserve to be Top 5 so early, but are clearly going to make there mark in a big way in this league. _________________

SEC SEC SEC |
HAHA! So friggin true. If a guy is smart enough to breath and blink his eyes at the same time the SEC will find a way to give him a scholarship. I would venture a guess that there is a good portion of SEC players who are functionally retarded with IQ ratings around the 70 mark. _________________

I know Banner likes to trade around and get good deals. If we are able to trade back a few picks, pick up a second rounder, and still get a player like Jordan or Mingo or a DE that Horton really likes, we could pick up a second and take Banks who i think will be a VERY good corner in the NFL. |
That would be a great scenario. It is largely what I have as a hopeful outcome in my mock draft. I have us trading down, landing Ezekial Ansah in the first, and then Eric Reid in the 2nd. I would love some combo of freakish pass rusher in the first and solid starter/potential pro-bowl secondary player in the 2nd. _________________

You guys are sleeping on Amerson. He had two bad games and all of a sudden he's a late 2nd rounder. Corners have bad games.
My boy Milliner tearin it up. _________________ 2013 Browns Forum HOF |

This draft is not a good draft to be #6. It seems like this is always the case for us. There are two players I would seriously consider at 6:
1. Milliner - Definitely the BPA if hes there. I'd rather get Keenan Lewis in FA so that we can focus on the front 7 in the draft.
2. Jordan - He looks smooth in drills and times well. Great potential. Still not sold at 6.
3. Star - If he checks out medically
4. Patterson - A luxury pick. But look what Julio did for the Falcons. We would have to bring in a major haul for this to happen. _________________ 2013 Browns Forum HOF |

I watched 1 dreadful game, 1 awful game, and 2 bad games and apparently neither of those were his worst as all day they have been talking about the Miami game which I didn't watch.
Just because you are tall and run a blazing 40 doesn't make you a good corner. Nothing I saw this season makes me even remotely hope we draft him even with our last pick in the draft.
He had 13 picks last season and teams still relentlessly attacked him over and over in every game. That should speak volumes. When they weren't taking him deap they were nickle and diming him all down the field. _________________

To be fair...
You have done probably 25 mocks this year. Your bound to get one right.

So a guy can run a bad 40, but "experts" say he can improve his draft stock if he runs a better time at his pro day.
Ummm, why??? So the guy spends the next two weeks doing nothing but running 40 yard dashes and improves on that a tiny bit, and his draft stock improves??
Did I mention yet that I hate the combine? _________________ 3/18/17 predictions:
Jimmy G stays with New England this year.
We draft Garrett at #1 (out on a limb there).
We trade back from 12 for another 2018 1st.
We do NOT draft a QB in the first 2 rounds. |

It has nothing to do with his 40 time. That's what he was reported to run anyways. _________________ 2013 Browns Forum HOF
