| Quote: | | Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley has been criticized heavily for his play the last few seasons and several think that he is spending too much time in the media spotlight than under the lights of a weight training room. |

If the teammate wants to stay anonymous, than I'll say it:
I, stillersenat, say that Lamarr Woodley was out of shape and awful last season. _________________

Its sad.
I loved Lamarr in college.
I did backflips when we got him.
I loved him his first few seasons.
But his inconsistency is getting annoying and he did look fat and slow last season. He looked better towards the end of the year, but I am really starting to lose respect for the guy. I really dont care what players do off the field as long as its not affecting them on it, but he doesnt seem to be taking his responsibilities to this team seriously, and that annoys me more than anything.
Come on LaMarr....make me a fan again. _________________

I got your back! I love that a member of Woodleys own team called him out. |

Any thoughts of moving him to DE if he doesn't want to lose weight?
You could definitely see it in his body this season. |

DE in the 34? Haha....he would get murdered. Even if he bulks up, he doesnt have the length to play the position...especially how LeBeau uses our DEs.
And its more of a matter of him being out of shape than the extra weight. _________________

My money is on Ziggy. We know he spent a lot of time last season getting into better shape and stronger. Guys who get into shape and change their lifestyle are usually the first to bad mouth anyone who isn't as devoted to fitness as them. _________________

I cannot stand "anonymous players" who go to the media and talk under anonymity. They are typically the same people who then blast the media in the next breath when they leak something that they don't like.
Many of us on the forum have had the mouthpiece in on the high school, college, semi-pro or pro level at one time or another and know that you never go outside of your locker room. You have a problem with Wood's conditioning; man up and say it to his face, not the media. When you go from 12 - 4 to 8 - 8 and lose three of your last four, it is because a lot of people were out of shape or too fat (either on their body or in their heart and mentality). You don't break that fraternal bond as a player. Your team is yur family. They mess up, you tell them in private, and praise them in public. Enough on that!
I am a huge Woodley fan, but he has not played to his potential the past few seasons. When you don't perform and are 10 - 20 lbs heavier, you will be criticized in the public by the fans and media. Woods has NFL Player of The Year talent and potential. He has to stay healthy and get that on the field hunger back. _________________ "Being a Steeler fan starts when the sperm meets the egg!" -- Unknown Steeler Fan

I really hope not because if Ziggy was in great shape, he didn't translate that into setting the world on fire at DE. He certainly didn't have an Aaron Smith like season. When you are 8-8 you don't have room to talk about anyone! _________________ "Being a Steeler fan starts when the sperm meets the egg!" -- Unknown Steeler Fan

This idea that it was Ziggy is just stupid. Not impossible, but there is absolutely no logic behind the thought.
He never talks to the media, and has never said anything or done anything that should make people point the finger at him first.
How about James Harrison? He has proven he isnt afraid to run his mouth about anyone.
Unless there is some clue, its silly to speculate on who it was, because it could anyone...and that includes offense, defense, backups and practice squad guys. _________________

I'll say it was Ike that said it.
I'd give him this upcoming season to get his poop straight(yes I said poop).
If he doesn't come into camp looking good and playing well, I would cut him loose after next season. _________________
