No to Felix Jones. No to Deangelo Williams. |
If you say no to Monte Ball, would you say no to Marcus Lattimore? (two knee injuries) _________________ United States of Texas

Lattimore can't be the only RB we draft though. The need is too great, and he may not be able to start day 1. If he falls to rd 5/rd 6, I'd be all for it, but it's looking like he's going in the 3-4 range. I'd be way too scared and rather draft someone like Mike Gillislee there. |

For a pick outside the top 100 - absolutely yes to Lattimore. Although Gilleslee might make me pause if he was available.
Still feel you can normally get a starting caliber talent in the 3rd though so I'd pass there.
NB - Jones is a no; it's been shown many times he can't stay healthy if given significant carries, and we are set at CoP back. _________________

Lattimore =/= Ball
Lattimore was a legitimate 1st round talent before his injuries. Ball has nothing special about his game. Always has been a 3-5 round RB. Add in the fact that he had 900 carries on his legs already, and he shouldnt even be considered. _________________

if our plan is to draft Lattimore, then im def fine signing Deangelo Williams to be our stop gap until Lattimore 100%.
pretty much if we could somehow land Lacy, Bernard or Lattimore in the draft...ill be a very happy dude lol |

Who in there right mind would pay DeAngelo. His contract has all kinds of cap ramifactions along with it. Unless the Panthers cut him out right, he is not an option for any cap wise team. Not to mention, he is not getting any younger. _________________

Remember reading somewhere on here that they're legitimately considering cutting him completely. _________________

Scott is dead on here. We have to get better at RB. Whether drafting Lacy in the 1st or Lattimore in the 2nd( I don't think he will make it to our pick in the 3rd). Ball is a no for me. Wisconsin backs all have the luxury of that beefy line and they have had a bunch of carries. |

Especially Lacy, who doesn't fit the Falcons scheme. _________________

I would be very surprised if we took a RB in the first. DE, OL, or DT should be the first pick.This draft is full of good backs that can be had in later rounds. _________________

| honestly I'm not sold on Lacy, yeah he looked good in college but dude had arguably the best offensive line in college football paving the way for him. that line could make any RB look good i feel like... just look at Mark Ingram. Gio Bernard would be the best fit in our scheme to be honest, can catch the ball on screens and take it to the house and we all know how Koetter loves screens. also could provide us with someone who can return kickoffs/punts but i doubt we would use him on ST if he is our feature back... a big NO to Ball.. wayyyy too much mileage on him. Like others have said, we can't afford to "redshirt" a RB so no to lattimore unless it was in the 5th or later (which wont happen)... TD - get Gio! |

No Scott what I was saying if they wanted Lacy they would have to get him in the 1st because he won't make it to the next pick. |
